What are Core Products?

Core Products are our most popular, workhorse building materials - such as insulation, blocks, timber, sheet materials and plasterboard - supplied through our nationwide network of local suppliers.

Why are Core Products different from other products on the site?

Some items on the site come from more specialist or niche suppliers. Core Products, by contrast, are selected so they can often be combined into a single basket and delivered together where possible. That can help reduce delivery complexity and total cost.

How much does delivery cost for Core Products?

If your Core Products order is over £300 ex. VAT, delivery is free. Orders under £300 ex. VAT have a flat £20 ex. VAT delivery charge, unless you’re on CORE+.

Can I mix Core and non‑Core Products in the same order?

Yes. You can mix Core and non‑Core products in one basket. Where this happens, additional delivery charges may apply depending on the products and order value. Any delivery charges will always be shown clearly before you check out.

How do I know if a product is part of the Core range?

Look for the yellow “Core” label on product pages and listings. You can also browse Core Products directly from the Core range page on the site.

What is the difference between Core and CORE+?

Core is the range of eligible products. CORE+ is our subscription that gives you free delivery on all Core Products regardless of order value, plus member‑only discounts and access to an account manager. You can learn more on the CORE+ page.
