Sharp sand is used in lots of construction projects. It is commonly mixed with other materials to create strong, durable building bases. Some customers also use it for decorative purposes. It does not look out of place in back garden stone displays. Each grain of sand is anywhere from 0 to 4mm in diameter. Fine sand can strengthen block paving, driveways, and paths on a structural level. It is suitable for domestic and commercial projects. We recommend grit sand for people who want to invest in the longevity of their buildings and structures. The sand is sourced from seabeds, which means that some moisture will be present. The mass of each bag can therefore vary by as much as 5% either way.

Sharp sand has a gritty texture that makes it perfect for a range of construction tasks. It is sometimes referred to as builders' sand or grit and it contains a lot of large grains.
This sand is locally sourced and loaded into bulk bags for easy transportation. Our customers do not need to invest in heavy-duty equipment to manoeuvre the bags. We lay our bags in a suitable spot and let our customers do the rest. Lots of people use a simple utility knife to cut through the centre of the bags and smooth the sand into place.
This product is most commonly mixed with water and cement to create concrete. Once our customers have created concrete, they can use the mortar to create block paving for their house. It is also ideal for laying slabs and creating other sheet materials.
Each jumbo bag contains between 850kg and 1 ton of grit sand. Coarse sand is often mixed with other building materials to create strong, durable structures. Lots of our customers use this method to make expensive construction materials last longer. The cost of the bag soon pays for itself.
In general building projects, sharp sand is often mixed with cement and water to create concrete. Concrete mixing is common on construction sites all over the UK. It allows professionals to monitor the quality of their materials. Customers might need more than one large bag of sand for mixing, as concrete is comprised of three parts aggregate material and one part cement. For this reason, bulk bags of sand are often used in block paving, patios, driveways, slabs, paths, and any other concreting project. They can even be combined with floor screeds.
One of the biggest benefits of our sharp sand is that the quality always remains the same. It is perfect for use with bulky construction materials like screeds. No matter how many bags our customers order, they can always expect the same great quality.
Another benefit of our grit sand is that it is multi-functional. Lots of homeowners use it for decorative purposes. The natural colour is consistent throughout, which makes it perfect for decorative displays in front gardens and back gardens. Some of our customers even place the sand in their ponds for an authentic aesthetic.
Our jumbo bags contain between 850kg and 1 ton of good quality, sharp aggregate materials. Builders' sand comes from large quarries and riverbeds. We put the sand through as few manufacturing processes as possible to ensure our customers get the raw, natural benefits of it. This means that there might be some excess moisture in your bulk bags. Customers should expect the weight of our bulk bags to fluctuate by 5% on either side. This is an important consideration for small teams who need to be prepared to manoeuvre heavy weights around their construction site.
