Installation Guidance

• Compact effectively: Use a mechanical plate compactor or hand rammer on the ballast sub-base to provide a stable, non-yielding surface. 
• Monitor water addition: Avoid over-watering the mix, as excess water significantly reduces the final compressive strength and increases the risk of cracking. 
• Seal for curing: Once poured, keep the concrete damp or covered with polythene for several days to allow for a slow, strong hydration process.

• Buyer's note on drainage: Not for drainage. Unlike clean shingle or gravel, All-In Ballast contains fine particles (sharp sand) which impede water flow. Do not use in French drains, soakaways, or areas requiring active drainage; select clean, single-sized gravel for those applications.
