What Is 20mm Pea Shingle Bulk Bag?

Pea shingle is a type of non-decorative aggregate made up of small pebbles - hence the name 'pea' shingle.

These stones come in a diameter ranging from 15mm to 20mm and are most commonly found in shades of grey or brown, although each bag will vary in colour due to the fact that the product originates from a natural source.

It is commonly packaged around drainage systems and mixed with other materials.

Simply spread the shingle in a predetermined space and smooth it out until it is level; the installation process really is that simple.

Weight may vary by +/- 5%.

20mm Pea Shingle Bulk Bag Applications

  • Improves the structural integrity of construction materials
  • Colours vary from grey to brown
  • Can be mixed with gravel, floor screeds, sand, and a number of other materials
  • Adds volume to construction materials
  • Backfilling drains

Shingle 20mm Bulk Bag Features & Many Benefits

  • The stones in our bulk bags are between 15mm and 20mm in diameter - perfect size for driveways
  • Great gravel mixers
  • Designed for concreting and floor screeding
  • Increases the structural integrity of your materials - not designed for sole decorative use
  • Low maintenance – simply top it up with more shingle as it sinks and falls flat

20mm Gravel Weed Suppressant

One of the biggest benefits of this great product is that it acts as a weed suppressant. Even the smallest weeds have the power to displace concrete, causing it to break and crack.

Shingle is manufactured with chemicals that are specifically designed to combat the growth of weeds, hence why it is so popular in both concrete and cement applications.

20mm Shingle Weight

Customers should also note that the weight of the product supplied will vary along with the colour.

The bag size and quality will always be the same but, due to varying levels of moisture in the shingle, some bags might weigh more than others. So, one load might be slightly heavier than another.
