What is 11m OSB?
11mm OSB 3 is a robust and moisture-resistant structural panel designed for diverse internal and external applications, including roofing, flooring, and wall constructions.
The 'OSB' in its title (short for Oriented Strand Board) makes reference to its manufacturing process: which sees wood strands strategically oriented and compressed together with adhesive resin.
Constructed from multi-layered softwood flakes, arranged in precise orientations and bonded under high pressure, the 11mm OSB 3 panel epitomises versatility and resilience, presenting a superior alternative to traditional plywood.
11mm OSB sterling board is characterised by its absence of knots and voids, ensuring consistent performance even in humid conditions.
It is suited for a range of domestic purposes such as shelving, garden sheds, and display boards, as well as commercial applications, including subfloors and roof decking.
Where Is 11mm OSB Board Used?
11mm OSB boards are suitable for a wide range of exterior and interior applications, such as wall sheathing, roofing and flooring applications.

11mm OSB - Moisture Resistance
11mm OSB is the perfect sheet material to use in humid conditions. While the OSB2 board is only suitable for dry conditions, OSB3 board can withstand more challenging conditions.
Despite this being the case, it is always a good idea to add further weather protection if you are planning to use it for permanent outdoor use.
You can do this by adding weather-proof exterior paint. Follow the exterior paint with a wood waterproofing sealant. Allow 12-14 hours for it to dry before installing it - you can add a second coat if required.

I've been building myself a DIY shed from scratch and bought this to use as the walls, roof and floor. It's great stuff and really strong. I'm no expert on this stuff, but it's done a great job for me. I just coated it in wood protection paint, stuck rubber felt on the roof and put some lino on the floor so should last a good few years! Great price as well.
