Celotex GA4070 70mm PIR Insulation can bring a whole host of benefits to your wallet and sustainability efforts. Manufactured using a blowing agent that has zero ozone depletion potential (ODP) and low global warming potential (GWP), these insulation boards are the perfect choice for the eco-conscious individual. As a general application ('GA') insulation board, Celotex 70mm thermal insulation solution is suitable for floor, wall, and roof applications.
These high-performance 2.4m x 1.2m PIR boards feature low-emissivity foil facings that give improved thermal insulation performance in sealed cavity air spaces, improving the thermal envelope of your home with an impressive thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/mK. Not only that, but they also offer excellent water vapour resistance and a reasonable compressive strength of 140kPa.

This BBA certified multi-purpose insulation board is suitable for roof, floor, and wall applications. Equipped with an innovative low emissivity foil facing and manufactured from rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR), the boards are easy to cut and shape for application in pitched roofs, solid masonry walls, partition walls, timber frames, and steel-framed systems, specifically timber frame internal linings, solid masonry internal linings and between timber joists. It can also be used as floor insulation in solid floor systems such as screed and concrete slab floors, and as loft insulation between timber rafters.
Celotex GA4070 is suitable for the following applications:
This Celotex rigid PIR insulation board can achieve low U-Value with just a single layer of insulation whilst offering an outstanding thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m.K. Available in 2.4m x 1.2m, GA4070 insulation board can improve the thermal envelope of your home better than almost any other material on the market; PIR is second only to phenolic insulation in terms of thermal conductivity.
The board is manufactured from tough polyisocyanurate, with an ideal mix of blowing agents acquiring zero ozone depletion potential and a low global warming impact - meaning it is gentle on the environment.
Let's have a look at the specs:
BS EN is British and European Standard Specifications. With over 100 years of experience, the British Standards Institute is recognised as the UK’s National standards body.
Celotex is a leading British manufacturer of 70mm thickness PIR insulation. Founded in the early 1920s, the company has since evolved from a fibreboard insulation company to one that solely focuses on PIR insulation boards. The GA4070 insulation board is just one of many popular thermal insulation solutions in the Celotex product range. It comes from the GA4000 product group, which includes 6 other thicknesses; 50mm (GA4050), 60mm (GA4060), 75mm (GA4075), 80mm (GA4080), 90mm (GA4090) and 100mm (GA4100).
As they are super light and portable, 70mm Celotex boards can also be handled and transported easily; making them a doddle to install. If you need to store 70mm Celotex insulation boards for a while before installation, you should choose a cool, dry space.
Our rule of thumb when it comes to storage is that the boards should not be stored on the ground. Instead, pop them on a level surface and under a protective cover, just for good measure.

Used this under two new flat roofs and couldn't be happier with the product. Installed just a single layer and the extension is actually warmer than the rest of the house!
