Reduce the impact of fire outbreaks with Knauf 12.5mm Fire Panel Plasterboard. These large, 2400mm x 1200mm plasterboards are ideal for drylining internal surfaces where increased fire protection is required; particularly wall linings and ceiling systems.

The board can be fixed to timber and structural steel encasement systems, and then plastered or decorated with immediate effect - it really is that simple!

Knauf fire-resistant plasterboard has the added benefit of providing 30 minutes of protection against the spread of flames. These boards are manufactured to withstand high temperatures; featuring an aerated gypsum core with glass fibre and other additives encased in easily identifiable pink strong paper liners.

The additional additives and pink paper lining of the boards offer enhanced fire protection, helping to meet UK building regulations.

Knauf Fire Plasterboard 12.5 mm Applications

12.5mm Knauf Fire Panel meets all necessary building regulations and is ideal for installation in a range of structures where more stringent fire performance is required. The enhanced fire performance (above standard board products) enable Fire Panel to be used in lining and ceiling systems, in both new build and refurbishment projects. They can also be used in the following applications:

  • Partitions
  • Ceiling and lining systems
  • Encasement and shaftwall systems
  • Domestic separating walls

The boards can also be bonded to an insulation board on a masonry wall using Knauf Plasterboard Adhesive.

For added protection, we recommend using two gypsum plasterboards in the same build-up.

12.5mm Fireboard Fire Protection & Specifications

No one wants to think that a fire could happen in their home, but it is important to plan ahead and buy construction materials that have additional fire protection properties, if not for peace of mind. 12.5mm Knauf Fire Panel comprises a non-combustible aerated gypsum core (formulated with glass fibres and additional additives) firmly bonded to pink paper liners.

One of the biggest benefits of these Knauf gypsum plasterboards is that they come with a tapered edge, making the board ideal for jointing and skimming.

Let's check the specs:

  • Suitable for direct decoration or a Thistle gypsum plaster finish
  • Purposed for use in British Gypsum partition, wall lining and ceiling systems
  • Additional fire protection properties above standard board products
  • 2400mm x 1200mm boards.
  • Special paper facing that promotes fire resistance
