Technical Downloads

Knauf 12.5mm Fire Panel Plasterboard is a gypsum-based board that offers up to 30 minutes of fire resistance.

Not only is Knauf Fire Panel plasterboard fire retardant, but it is also a wonderfully efficient drylining solution; particularly for internal surfaces such as wall linings and ceiling systems. The boards can easily be fixed to timber and structural steel encasement systems, and then plastered or decorated with a splash of colour.

Featuring an aerated gypsum core infused with glass fibre and special additives, the boards are encased in a pink fire-resistant paper facing, so you can spot them at a glance. The 12.5mm boards measure 2400mm x 1200mm (8 x 4 in ft) and feature a square edge profile, making them ideal for textured finishes.

Knauf Fire Plasterboard 12.5 mm Applications

Knauf fire-resistant plasterboard is manufactured to withstand high temperatures in applications where fire rating is imperative. This fire retardant solution is ideal for use as a cladding component in lining and ceiling systems, in both new build and refurbishment projects. They can also offer improved fire resistance in the following applications:

  • Fire-rated partitions
  • Ceiling and lining systems
  • Encasement and shaftwall systems
  • Domestic separating walls

Knauf fire-resistant plasterboard can also be bonded to an insulation board on a masonry wall using Knauf Plasterboard Adhesive.

For added protection, we recommend using two gypsum plasterboards in the same build-up.
