How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.

Product Overview

Foil-backed vapour-control plasterboard sheet, measuring 2400 × 1200mm with a 12.5mm tapered edge, for use in partitions, linings, and ceilings where condensation risk needs to be managed.

Features an aerated gypsum core finished with a metallised foil backing, creating a built-in vapour barrier that reduces moisture transfer through walls and ceilings. This helps control condensation, minimises the risk of mould growth, and supports thermal efficiency in kitchens, bathrooms, and utility areas.

The tapered edge profile creates a shallow recess at board joints, designed to accommodate tape and jointing compound. Once filled and finished, the surface becomes seamless and ready for direct decoration.

Standard dimensions reduce the number of joints required across walls and ceilings, improving installation efficiency while maintaining dependable performance in partition and lining systems.

At 12.5mm thick, the board provides the industry-standard depth for drylining, combining structural stability with integrated vapour control to manage condensation risks.

Features & Benefits

  • Foil backing: Acts as a vapour barrier to control moisture transfer and reduce condensation risk.
  • Integrated vapour control layer: Improves thermal efficiency and contributes to a healthier indoor environment.
  • Tapered edge profile: Creates a recess for tape and jointing compound, producing a smooth finish ready for decoration.
  • Durable paper face: Provides a strong surface for paint, plaster skim, or other finishes.
  • Reaction to fire: Classified A2-s1, d0 - limited contribution to fire and minimal smoke production.
  • Low thermal conductivity: 0.19 W/mK - supports system U-value calculations.
  • Recyclable: Can be recycled at end of life once foil backing is removed.
  • Standard 2400mm x 1200mm size: Fits common framing and grid systems.
  • 12.5mm thickness: Standard for drylining - basis for most stud, track, and lining specs.

Applications

  • Partitions: Provides vapour control in internal dividing walls.
  • Wall linings: Suitable for framed or masonry walls in moisture-sensitive areas.
  • Ceilings: Helps prevent condensation in kitchens, bathrooms, and utility rooms.

Installation Guidance

  • Fix with staggered joints: Improves stability and reduces weak points.
  • Cut by scoring and snapping: Ensures neat, accurate edges.
  • Seal joints and perimeter edges: Maintains vapour control integrity across the system.
  • Store flat in a dry, ventilated space: Protects boards from damage and moisture ingress.

Compliance & Performance

  • Compliance: EN 520 & EN 14190 - conforms to plasterboard and laminated plasterboard standards.
  • Reaction to fire: Classified A2-s1, d0 - limited contribution to fire and minimal smoke production.
  • Thermal conductivity: 0.19 W/mK - contributes to overall system energy efficiency.
  • Sustainability: Fully recyclable after removal of foil backing.
