12.5mm Knauf Moisture Panel offers all the convenience of plasterboard whilst doing exactly what no standard plasterboard can do: resist water. This impressive plasterboard absorbs less than 5% of water, making it perfect for use in moist and humid conditions.
This gypsum plasterboard solution contains a silicone additive in its core and a moisture-resistant paper facing on either side, making it ideal for areas of high humidity, such as kitchens and bathrooms. The boards can also be used in can be used in partitions, ceilings and in semi-exposed areas.
Knauf Moisture Panel can be easily spotted via its green paper water repellent liners. These 12.5mm boards are 2400mm x 1200mm (8 x 4 in ft) and also boast a handy tapered edge, making them suitable for jointing or skimming.
Knauf 12.5 mm Tapered Edge Moisture Resistant Plasterboard Applications
Knauf 12.5mm Moisture Resistant plasterboard does a spectacular job of drylining internal surfaces whilst keeping them dry. This gypsum plasterboard solution contains special silicone additives in its core and a moisture-resistant paper facing on either side that gives it enhanced performance in areas of high humidity and high moisture, such as a bathroom or kitchen construction.
The boards are specifically designed to tolerate moist conditions which are present in the following:
- Kitchen walls
- Bathrooms
- Ceilings
- External soffits in sheltered positions
12.5mm Knauf Moisture Panel Tapered Edge Specifications
Aside from its 5% water absorption performance, Knauf Moisture Panel offers many benefits. Whilst it's not immediately obvious, Knauf Moisture Panel does, in fact, offer great fire protection and acoustic insulation where necessary. Featuring a handy tapered edge, these boards are also a lot easier to fit than standard square edge plasterboard.

12.5 mm Moisture Resistant Plasterboard Cutting
The boards can be cut with a fine-toothed plasterboard saw, or you can simply score the front face paper with a knife before snapping it over a straight edge, repeating the process on the back face paper.
