At Materials Market, we don't take fire safety lightly - using the correct building materials in your home can save lives. Knauf 15mm Fire Panel Plasterboard is no exception; these 2400mm x 1200mm boards have the added benefit of providing one hour of protection against the spread of flames.
Manufactured to offer superior fire resistance, the boards comprise an aerated gypsum core with glass fibre and other additives encased in its easily identifiable pink strong paper liners.
Knauf fire plasterboard is ideal for drylining internal surfaces where increased fire protection is required; particularly wall linings and ceiling systems. The board can be fixed to timber and structural steel encasement systems, and then plastered or decorated with immediate effect - it really is that simple!
Knauf 15mm Fire Rated Plasterboard Applications
Knauf's 15mm Fire Panel is one of the most recognised products in the plasterboard range. Its characteristic pink paper lining offers added fire protection to homeowners who want a simple but effective drylining board.
15mm Knauf fire-resistant plasterboard meets all necessary UK building regulations and is ideal for installation in a range of structures where more stringent fire performance is required. Fire Panel is purposed for use in, domestic separating walls, corridors, garages and lining and ceiling systems, in both residential and commercial projects. It can also be used in the following applications:
- Partitions
- Encasement and shaftwall systems
- Ceiling and lining systems
- Separating walls
The boards can also be bonded to an insulation board on a masonry wall using Knauf Plasterboard Adhesive or fixed to timber or metal studwork using drywall screws.
For added protection, we recommend using two gypsum plasterboards in the same build-up.
15mm Fireboard Fire Protection & Specifications
Protect your people with 15mm Knauf Fire Panel; comprising a non-combustible aerated gypsum core (formulated with glass fibres and additional additives) firmly bonded to pink paper liners.
One of the biggest benefits of these Knauf gypsum plasterboards is that they come with a tapered edge. The plasterboard tapered edge is ideal for both jointing and skimming and creates an invisible seam at the point where the edges meet - a decorative dream.
