Product Overview

Soudal Genius Gun Plasterboard Adhesive Foam in a 750 ml canister is a single-component polyurethane foam adhesive designed for the clean, efficient, and permanent bonding of plasterboard and insulation panels. 

The product provides a rapid, high-strength alternative to traditional mortar-based adhesives, with no mixing or preparation required before use. Its moisture-curing formulation produces a stable foam bead that adheres securely to a wide range of building substrates including brick, concrete, timber, metal, and plaster.

The unique Genius Gun applicator system enables precise, one-handed application directly from the can, ensuring controlled output and reduced waste during installation. 

Once applied, the foam achieves an initial skin in approximately eight minutes and can be trimmed after about sixty minutes, allowing for efficient workflow. Full bond strength develops within twelve hours under normal conditions.

The adhesive foam demonstrates excellent gap-filling and levelling characteristics, compensating for minor surface irregularities up to 10mm. Its limited post-expansion ensures dimensional accuracy when fixing plasterboard panels or insulation sheets. 

The cured material remains flexible, water-resistant, and resistant to mould, making it suitable for long-term use in dry interior environments.

Each 750ml can covers up to 12 m² of plasterboard surface, depending on application conditions and bead size, providing economical coverage in both small and large-scale installation projects. Overall, the product ensures a consistent, high-performance bond for plasterboard, insulation, and panel applications.

Applications

Installation Guidance

• Surface preparation: Ensure all substrates are clean, dry, and free from dust, oil, or loose material.
• Can preparation: Shake the can vigorously for at least 20 seconds before use to ensure uniform consistency.
• Application method: Hold the can upright and apply three vertical adhesive beads for boards over 50 cm wide, or two beads for narrower panels.
• Panel placement: Press panels into position within eight minutes of application; avoid repositioning once contact is made.
• Curing period: Allow at least one hour before light handling; avoid loading or stressing the bond for approximately two hours.
• Cleaning and reuse: Clean uncured adhesive with Soudal Gun & Foam Cleaner; reseal the Genius Gun system for future use.
