How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.

Product Overview
Kingspan Kooltherm K106 Cavity Insulation Board with a 115mm thickness.
This rigid phenolic insulation board is designed for partial-fill masonry cavity walls. It incorporates a fibre-free rigid thermoset phenolic core with a low-emissivity composite foil on one face and a water-tight, vapour-open polypropylene fleece on the other to manage moisture exposure within cavity constructions.
The board maintains a 10mm residual cavity to protect against moisture penetration while delivering high thermal efficiency in masonry wall elements. Its lightweight, rigid construction supports easy handling and placement during brickwork progression.
The 115mm board is suited to cavity wall constructions requiring maximum insulation thickness to achieve stringent thermal performance specifications.
Features & Benefits
- High thermal efficiency: Provides a thermal conductivity of 0.018 W/m·K to support strong thermal performance in partial-fill cavity walls.
- Moisture-management design: Incorporates a water-tight, vapour-open polypropylene fleece to resist moisture penetration while allowing vapour movement.
- Maintained residual cavity: Supports a 10mm cavity to reduce the risk of water ingress through the outer leaf.
- Unaffected by air infiltration: Maintains insulation performance without reduction caused by air movement in the cavity.
- Ease of handling: Lightweight and easy to cut, position, and secure during masonry construction.
- Environmental performance: Manufactured with a blowing agent featuring zero ODP and low GWP for reduced environmental impact.
- Material status: Classified as a non-deleterious material appropriate for use in masonry cavity walls.
- Thickness suitability: 115mm suited to cavity wall systems requiring maximum insulation depth for high-performance thermal targets.
Applications
- Masonry cavity walls: Used as partial-fill insulation between inner and outer masonry leaves.
- New build housing: Suitable for domestic and low-rise residential projects requiring high-performance cavity insulation.
- Commercial wall constructions: Applicable to commercial masonry walls where a residual cavity and controlled moisture behaviour are required.
- Thermal upgrade specifications: Supports design strategies targeting improved wall U-values with maintained moisture protection.
Installation Guidance
- Residual cavity control: Maintain a 10mm clear cavity between the insulation and outer leaf in accordance with BBA guidance.
- Wall ties: Use approved wall ties with retaining clips to secure boards against the inner leaf.
- Board positioning: Stagger vertical joints and ensure tight butted edges to reduce thermal bridging.
- Moisture protection: Install the polypropylene fleece facing the cavity side to support water-shedding performance.
- Work sequencing: Fit insulation as brickwork progresses, avoiding debris accumulation in the cavity.
- Cutting procedure: Cut using a fine-toothed saw to maintain clean edges and correct board alignment.
Compliance & Performance
- Thermal performance: Delivers a thermal conductivity of 0.018 W/m·K for efficient cavity insulation.
- Moisture control: Polypropylene fleece provides a water-tight but vapour-open layer to protect the insulation and wall structure.
- Design standards: Use in accordance with BS EN 845-1, BS EN 1996 series, and PD 6697 for masonry design and wall tie specification.
- Management systems: Manufactured under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BS OHSAS 18001, and ISO 50001 certified management systems.
- Residual cavity guidance: Suitable for 10mm residual cavities as accepted by NHBC except in very severe exposure for fair-faced masonry.
- Important note: Always follow site-specific structural design requirements and BBA certification for cavity wall installation.
