What Is 115mm Kingspan Kooltherm K106 Cavity Board?
115mm Kooltherm K106 cavity board is a full-fill insulation product designed for use between the inner and outer leaves of an external masonry wall.
This fibre-free phenolic board achieves a thermal conductivity of 0.019 W/mK across all thicknesses.
Faced with a low emissivity composite foil on one side and a polypropylene fleece on the other, it helps reduce moisture ingress while allowing water vapour to diffuse through the construction, maintaining breathability in unventilated wall cavities.
It also offers a compressive strength of 120 kPa, helping ensure long-term performance and structural reliability in cavity wall installations.
Applications
115mm Kingspan Kooltherm K106 is intended solely for cavity wall insulation. It should be installed between masonry wall leaves as part of a full-fill solution and is not suitable for other build-ups such as floors or roofs.
Frequently used in new housing developments and retrofit projects, this insulation is designed to enhance the thermal performance of masonry cavity walls. It supports compliance with modern building standards for energy use.
