What Is Kingspan K108 75mm?

75mm Kingspan Kooltherm K108 Cavity Insulation is a premium performance partial fill cavity insulation solution, designed for use in external cavity walls.

Providing a level of performance that is unrivalled in the world of rigid thermoset insulation, 75mm K108 Cavity boards boast an impressive lambda value of just 0.018 W/mK; making them the most thermally efficient cavity insulation solution on the market.

The 75mm boards offer premium thermal performance whilst maintaining a clear cavity and resisting moisture. Each board features a fibre-free rigid phenolic core that is sandwiched between low emissivity foil facings. These low emissivity foil facings significantly increase the thermal resistance of the cavity and lend themselves to the board's thermal conductivity of just 0.018 W/mK.

Not only that, but 75mm Kingspan is completely unaffected by air infiltration, thus improving the thermal performance of the entire construction.

As a premium performance insulation board, phenolic foam is a touch more costly than other kinds of insulation but as its performance is unrivalled in the world of rigid thermoset insulation materials, we believe it to be worth every penny.

Where Is 75mm Kingspan K108 Board Used?

75mm K108 Kingspan boards are top of the range when it comes to partial fill cavity wall insulation. In fact, Kingspan is the only manufacturer of insulation with a fibre free rigid thermoset phenolic foam insulation in the UK.

Kingspan K108 75mm boards have been specifically designed to limit thermal bridging and uncontrolled air leakage via junctions in cavity wall constructions, which is clearly demonstrable in its thermal conductivity value of 0.018 W/mK.

Kingspan K108 75mm Certifications

Kingspan K108 75mm is manufactured in accordance with:

  • ISO 9001: 2015 (Quality Management Systems)
  • BS OHSAS 18001: 2007 (Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems)
  • BS EN ISO 50001: 2011 (Energy Management Systems)
  • ISO 14001: 2015 (Environmental Management Systems)

Kingspan K108 75mm Environmental Considerations

As well as being thermally efficient, Kooltherm K108 cavity board is also manufactured in a super environmentally friendly process, using a blowing agent with zero Ozone Depletion Potential and a low Global Warming Potential; one less worry for you and the environment.

Kooltherm K108 Cavity Board Handling & Installation

Kingspan K108 boards are non-deleterious, rigid, and lightweight, making them super easy to install.
Its non-deleterious nature ensures you do not have to worry about health hazards during the installation process.

Thanks to its closed-cell structure the board is also rigid and durable whilst still maintaining a light and manageable weight.

K108 Kingspan boards are partial-fill, which means that they are intended to only partially fill the cavity, leaving a residual air gap. Simply use wall ties to hold them in place.
