How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.

Product Overview
Kingspan Kooltherm K108 Cavity Insulation Board with a 50mm thickness. This rigid phenolic insulation board is designed for partial-fill masonry cavity wall applications. It features a fibre-free rigid thermoset phenolic core faced on both sides with low-emissivity composite foil to improve thermal resistance within the cavity.
The board assists in maintaining a clear cavity to resist moisture penetration while supporting efficient thermal performance in masonry wall designs.
Its lightweight, rigid construction aids straightforward handling and secure retention using standard wall ties during the progression of brickwork.
The 50mm board is suited to cavity wall constructions requiring a shallow insulation depth while maintaining compliance with NHBC requirements for use with a 50mm residual cavity.
Features & Benefits
- High thermal efficiency: Offers a thermal conductivity of 0.018 W/m·K to achieve strong thermal performance in cavity wall systems.
- Clear cavity retention: Designed to maintain a residual cavity for improved moisture protection.
- Low-emissivity foil facings: Enhances the thermal resistance of the cavity by reducing radiant heat transfer.
- NHBC compliance: Meets NHBC technical requirements when installed with a 50 mm residual cavity.
- Unaffected by air infiltration: Maintains thermal integrity without performance loss due to air movement in the cavity.
- Ease of handling: Lightweight construction simplifies cutting, placement, and retention using wall ties.
- Material status: Classified as a non-deleterious material appropriate for use in cavity wall applications.
- Environmental performance: Manufactured using a blowing agent with zero ODP and low GWP.
- Thickness suitability: 50mm suited to cavity wall designs requiring minimal insulation depth with retained cavity compliance.
Applications
- Partial-fill cavity walls: Used between masonry leaves to provide insulation while retaining a clear residual cavity.
- New build housing: Suitable for residential masonry wall constructions targeting efficient thermal performance.
- Commercial masonry walls: Applied in cavity wall systems where clear cavity retention and moisture control are required.
- Compliance-driven designs: Supports specifications requiring NHBC acceptance when used with a 50mm residual cavity.
Installation Guidance
- Wall tie selection: Use approved double-drip ties with retaining clips to secure boards against the inner leaf.
- Initial tie placement: Install the first row of ties at correct height relative to DPC or floor insulation upstand as specified.
- Board retention: Fit insulation boards between tie rows, ensuring they are held firmly against the inner leaf.
- Joint alignment: Butt board edges lightly and stagger vertical joints to reduce thermal bridging.
- Cavity management: Maintain the required residual cavity and ensure the cavity remains clear of debris.
- Work sequencing: Continue with brickwork lifts, repeating tie placement, board installation, and outer leaf progression.
Compliance & Performance
- Thermal performance: Delivers a thermal conductivity of 0.018 W/m·K for efficient cavity wall insulation.
- Moisture behaviour: Supports moisture control through maintenance of a clear cavity and foil facings.
- Design standards: Installation should align with BS EN 845-1, the BS EN 1996 series, and PD 6697 for masonry wall construction.
- Management systems: Manufactured under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BS OHSAS 18001, and ISO 50001 certified management systems.
- Residual cavity guidance: Suitable for use with NHBC-accepted cavity widths as specified for exposure zones.
- Important note: Ensure cavity width, wall tie specification, and moisture detailing conform to regulatory and project requirements.
