Product Overview

Plastering sand supplied in a 25kg bag, consisting of fine, evenly graded natural aggregate washed and sieved for consistency.

This manageable bag size is easy to handle and store, making it ideal for patch repairs, topping up bulk applications, or small-scale plastering and rendering tasks where a bulk bag would be excessive.

Features & Benefits

  • Washed and sieved fine aggregate: Provides smooth, uniform plaster and render finishes.
  • Consistent fine grain size: Improves workability, making mixes easier to prepare and apply.
  • Grey-brown natural colour: Blends well with cement-based mixes for a neat finish.
  • Naturally sourced material: Quality-controlled but may vary slightly in moisture and shade.
  • Compact and crack-resistant finish: Contributes to durable plaster and render surfaces.
  • Convenient bag size (25kg): Simple to transport, tip, and store without machinery.
  • Low waste option: Buy only what you need, reducing surplus on smaller projects.
  • Best for topping up or localised use: For larger works, the 850kg bulk bag is the more practical choice.

Please Note: Colour may vary naturally between grey and brown. Bag weight may differ by ±5% due to moisture content. Always follow correct mix designs for plaster, render, or mortar.

Applications

  • Small plastering or rendering jobs: Provides smooth mixes for patch repairs and localised work.
  • Mortar and pointing tasks: Suitable where a finer joint finish is needed in masonry work.
  • Topping up bulk applications: Complements bulk bag supply if additional material is required.
  • Test areas or trial mixes: Useful for sampling before committing to a full bulk bag.

Installation Guidance

  • Mix to standard ratios: Typical mixes include 1:4-6 cement to sand, or 1:1:6 cement, lime, and sand.
  • Use safe handling practices: Always wear a dust mask, gloves, and eye protection when mixing.
  • Prepare only what you need: Mix gradually with water to a smooth, workable consistency, and apply within 1-2 hours.

Compliance & Performance

  • Aggregate grading: Washed and sieved to provide consistent fine sand for plastering, rendering, and mortar.
  • Service class: Suitable for internal and external small-scale works using cement or lime-based mixes.

How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
