62.5mm Celotex PL4050 Insulated Plasterboard is a 2-in-1 insulation and drylining board that is thermally efficient and easy to install. Comprising a high performance PIR insulation board bonded to a 12.5mm tapered edge plasterboard, 62.5mm Celotex PL4050 insulation can be installed in a range of building applications, from the internal side of solid masonry walls to under and between rafters and joists. For the 62.5mm Celotex Insulated Plasterboard, the 62.5mm is the overall thickness, and refers to both the insulation (50mm) and plasterboard (12.5mm) elements bonded together, to make 62.5mm overall. The 62.5mm Celotex PL4050 is BBA certified as a thermal laminate, and can be used in both existing domestic and non-domestic buildings. As well as providing thermal efficiency, it can also help to limit the risk of surface condensation.

62.5mm Celotex PL4050 Insulated Plasterboard Product Description

Insulated plasterboards are designed to streamline your insulation project. Part of the Celotex PL4000 range, with product code PL4050, this 2 in 1 product combines all the thermal benefits of rigid polyisocyanurate pir with plasterboard drylining. PIR is often the first choice for people who want to improve heat retention in their homes. It has a thermal conductivity value of 0.022 W/mK, which makes it one of the best insulators on the market. As well as providing thermal insulation, the rigid polyisocyanurate insulation and plasterboard elements represent an easy-to-install solution that is in line with current building regulation standards.

Mechanically Fixed Installation Techniques

PL4050 insulated plasterboards allow maximum installation speed and give the installer maximum flexibility. Each board is comprised of a rigid PIR foam core that has a 12.5mm plasterboard attached to one side. The plasterboard has a tapered edge, which makes it suitable for jointing or skimming . You can either use mechanically fixed installation techniques or the bonding dot and dab method, which involves direct bonding to the masonry wall using plasterboard adhesive.

Although most commonly used in wall applications, it can also be used in pitched roof, flat roof, and timber frame lining applications in both new build and refurbishment projects and drastically reduces installation times, providing insulation and plasterboard in one operation. You can install Celotex PL4050 insulated plasterboard on the internal side of masonry walls and pitched roofs.
