About 72.5mm Celotex PL4060
- 2-in-1 insulation and drylining board.
- Combines the low-heat transfer properties of PIR with the structural integrity of plasterboard.
- 72.5mm refers to the overall thickness - 60mm insulation board bonded to 12.5mm plasterboard.
- Can be installed in various building applications, including solid masonry walls, rafters, and joists.
- BBA certified as a thermal laminate - can be used in both existing domestic and non-domestic buildings.
- As well as providing thermal efficiency, it can also help to limit the risk of surface condensation.
Why Tapered Edge?
- Tapered-edge plasterboard features sloped edges that create a recess when joined, making it easier to apply joint tape and compound for a smooth, paint-ready finish.
- It minimises visible seams and reduces the amount of joint compound needed, making it ideal for aesthetic-focused projects like walls, ceilings, and partitions.
Why 2400mm x 1200mm?
- 2400mm x 1200mm plasterboard is the standard size used for wall and ceiling installations. Its larger dimensions allow for faster coverage of wide surfaces, which is especially beneficial in larger rooms or open spaces.
- Using these standard-sized boards means fewer sheets are needed to cover the area, which not only saves time during installation but also reduces the number of joints and seams that need finishing. Fewer seams result in a cleaner, smoother finish and less overall labour.
Applications
- Pitched roofs
- Flat roof and wall applications
- Internal solid wall insulation
- The 'underneath' layer of insulation in between and under rafter and joist applications
- Timber frame lining applications
Benefits
- Zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP) and low Global Warming Potential (GWP).
- Thermal conductivity: 0.022 W/mK.
- Suitable for both direct bonding (‘dot and dab’) and mechanically fixed installation techniques.
- Features an inbuilt vapour control layer.
- Offers maximum flexibility and installation speed due to the tapered edge.
- Compressive Strength: 120kPa.
Certifications
- Achieves a BRE Green Guide Rating of A+
- Reaction to Fire: Euroclass B-s1, d0 Reaction to Fire classification, according to EN 13501-1

Storage & Handling
The boards are supplied in polythene-wrapped packs. Each pack contains a label bearing the manufacturer’s name, board dimensions and the BBA logo.
The boards must be protected from prolonged exposure to sunlight and moisture, stored inside and protected with opaque polythene sheeting. They should also be stacked flat and raised above ground level (to avoid contact with ground moisture).
