Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

BS 1088 is the British Standard specification for marine plywood, ensuring the board is manufactured to withstand high-moisture environments and immersion. To meet this standard, the plywood must use WBP (Weather and Boil Proof) glue and contain no internal core gaps where water could collect.
Is marine plywood waterproof?
Marine plywood is made with waterproof glue (WBP) to prevent delamination, but the wood itself is not naturally waterproof and will eventually rot if left raw. To ensure it stays watertight and lasts, you must seal all surfaces and edges with a high-quality marine-grade varnish, epoxy, or paint.
Important: If your project involves critical structural safety or immersion in water, please consult a professional surveyor or specialist builder to ensure your sealing method is sufficient for the environment.
What is the difference between marine and exterior plywood?
The main difference lies in the quality of the internal layers and the wood species used. While both use waterproof glue, marine plywood has zero internal gaps (voids) and uses higher-quality, rot-resistant veneers throughout.
