Product Overview

Exterior Grade Class 3 Hardwood Plywood with an 18mm thickness. A premium, high-performance sheet material designed for outdoor and high-moisture environments.

Manufactured from selected hardwood veneers and bonded with a Class 3 weather- and boil-proof adhesive, it provides exceptional durability, dimensional stability, and resistance to fungal decay. This plywood maintains structural integrity under prolonged exposure to moisture and fluctuating weather conditions, making it ideal for demanding exterior and semi-exposed applications.

The smooth, even surface accepts paints, stains, and protective coatings, ensuring both functionality and aesthetic quality. The 18mm board thickness offers strength and rigidity suitable for a wide range of structural and general-purpose uses.

Features & Benefits

  • Exterior-grade construction: Engineered with Class 3 adhesive for superior resistance to weather and humidity.
  • High-strength hardwood core: Provides outstanding mechanical performance and dimensional stability.
  • Weatherproof durability: Withstands continuous exposure to moisture without swelling, delaminating, or warping.
  • Smooth surface finish: Ideal for paint, stain, or laminate applications where a clean, uniform appearance is required.
  • Fungal and moisture resistance: Prevents decay and surface degradation in damp or outdoor conditions.
  • Multi-purpose performance: Suitable for both load-bearing and non-structural installations in construction and joinery.
  • Board thickness 18mm: Delivers a balance of rigidity and manageable weight for wide-ranging site and workshop applications.

Applications

  • Flooring: Provides a robust and moisture-resistant base for both permanent and temporary floor structures.
  • Roof decking: Suitable for exterior roof systems requiring strong and weatherproof sheeting.
  • Wall sheathing: Ideal for external wall linings or cladding substrates exposed to intermittent weathering.
  • Site hoardings: Reliable choice for durable, reusable site barriers and screening panels.
  • Temporary protection: Effective for safeguarding floors and structures during construction or refurbishment.

Installation Guidance

  • Panel conditioning: Allow sheets to acclimatise to site temperature and humidity before installation.
  • Fixing method: Secure with corrosion-resistant screws or nails at recommended centres for exterior-grade boards.
  • Joint spacing: Leave small expansion gaps between sheets to accommodate natural timber movement.
  • Edge treatment: Seal cut edges and faces with a waterproof coating or paint for extended durability.
  • Surface finishing: Apply appropriate protective or decorative finishes depending on exposure level and application.

Compliance & Performance

  • Material specification: Multi-ply hardwood veneers bonded with Class 3 (EN 314-2) weather and boil-proof adhesive.
  • Durability rating: Certified for exterior use under EN 636 Class 3 performance standards.
  • Weather and moisture resistance: Suitable for continuous exposure to outdoor conditions.
  • Fungal resistance: Designed to prevent biological degradation under damp or humid environments.
  • Important note: Ensure all edges and penetrations are sealed to maintain full exterior-grade performance.

How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
