What Is RWA45 75mm?

Are you seeking to mitigate disruptive noises? Elevate your space with the 75mm Rockwool RWA45 Acoustic Insulation. Among the Rockwool RW slab range, the 75mm thickness is a popular choice, offering 9 units per pack and covering approximately 4.32 square meters.

Crafted from rock mineral wool, this insulation solution provides superior acoustic, thermal, and fire-resistant properties. With a low thermal conductivity rating of 0.035 W/mK, it meets rigorous safety standards, achieving an A1 non-combustible rating in accordance with BS EN 13501-1.

Featuring a density of 45kg/m3, the 75mm Rockwool RWA45 slabs excel in soundproofing applications, making them ideal for isolating floors and internal walls.

These premium-quality resin-bonded slabs are precisely cut to dimensions of 1200mm x 600mm, ensuring effortless integration between standard stud partitions and floor joists spaced at 600mm intervals.

75mm Rockwool RWA45 Sound Insulation Slab Applications

The slabs can be used for the following:

  • Interior timber frame ceilings
  • Acoustic ceilings and partition panels
  • I-joist interior partitions

Rockwool 75mm RWA45 Certifications

BS EN is British and European Standard Specifications. With over 100 years of experience, the British Standards Institute is recognised as the UK’s National standards body. BS EN considers Rockwool both:

  • A1 non-combustible in accordance with BS EN 13501-1 - achieving the highest possible level of fire performance
  • CE and Key marked in accordance with BS EN 13162:2012 + A1:2015.v

100mm Rockwool slabs are also certified by Lloyd's register of shipping as non-combustible materials for use on:

  • Fixed offshore installations
  • MED classed ships- DTLR MCA approval
  • Rated non-combustible in accordance with ISO 1182 and IMO A. 799

Rockwool RWA45 Insulation Storage & Handling

RWA45 is a durable insulation solution which is trouble-free when it comes to cutting so you can get the best fit possible in all situations.  The slabs have a soft, fibrous texture, very similar to a loaf of bread. Because of this, a serrated blade is all you need to slice through it.
When it comes to storage, we advise that you store the slabs inside; keeping them nice and dry.

Rockwool RWA45 75mm Acoustic Performance

Rockwool thermal and acoustic insulation slab is best known for its excellent acoustic performance. Rockwool respectfully thrashes competitor brands with its prevention of noise transmission from room to room, making it ideal for installation in internal and separating walls.

Rockwool stone wool products work in two distinct ways to dampen sound, either by impeding the transmission of sound through an element of the structure or by absorption of sound at the surface.
Its higher density and non-directional fibre structure trap sound waves and deaden sound vibrations like no other insulation on the market. The structure of the fibres in RWA45 slabs grants them their incredible sound-absorbing performance, with characteristically high coefficients over a wide frequency range.

About Rockwool

Rockwool is recognised as being the market-leading acoustic insulation solution. All Rockwool RW slab products offer outstanding fire, acoustic and thermal insulation properties as well as lifelong durability.  The product range consists of high-quality resin bonded slabs in a variety of thicknesses and densities. Rockwool RW semi-rigid slab products, either un-faced or with an aluminium foil or glass fleece on one or both surfaces, achieve an A1 classification in accordance with BS EN 13501-1 and thus meet the requirements of non-combustible materials, as defined in UK and Ireland Building Regulations.
