What Is 100mm Rockwool Flexi?
In a world where quality matters, 100mm Rockwool Flexi stands tall as a reliable and resilient insulation solution.
While it lives up to sister slabs such as Rockwool RWA45 in terms of its thermal and acoustic performance, what sets the 100mm Rockwool Flexi Slab apart is that it has a patented flexible edge, which allows it to be perfectly friction fitted within the supporting framework.
Crafted from renewable volcanic rock, it boasts remarkable fire resistance with a classification of A1 non-combustible.
Perfect for integration into metal and timber framing systems, 100mm Rockwool Flexi slabs significantly reduce a building's carbon footprint while ensuring excellent acoustic and fire resistance between wall frames, roofs, floors, and partitions.
Where Is 100mm Rockwool Flexi Used?
100mm Rockwool Flexi lives up to the Flexi in its name through its sheer versatility. It can be employed in pitched roof rafters, framed external walls, internal partitions, intermediate floors, separating walls and floors, and timber suspended ground floors.
Its flexible edge helps to overcome the issue of fresh timber shrinkage by expanding into the wider space as the timber dries out.
The slabs can be used for the following construction types:
- Interior timber or steel partition walls
- Interior timber frame floors
- Interior timber frame ceilings
- Acoustic ceilings and partition panels
- I-joist interior partitions
- Party walls

100mm Rockwool Flexi Slab Storage & Handling
Rockwool Flexi 100mm slabs have a soft, fibrous texture, very similar to a loaf of bread. Because of this, a serrated blade is all you need to slice through it. We recommend marking the dimensions you need on your slab to avoid mistakes.
When it comes to storage, we advise that you store the slabs inside; keeping them dry and protected from the elements.
About Rockwool
Rockwool is recognised as being the market-leading acoustic insulation solution. The Rockwool Flexi slab range offers outstanding thermal, acoustic and fire insulation properties as well as lifelong durability. 100mm Rockwool Flexi insulation slabs achieve Lambda 0.038W/mK.
