What Is Rockwool RWA45 100mm?

Rockwool RWA45 100mm is a comprehensive solution for thermal, acoustic, and fire insulation needs. This high-performance product is ideal for a variety of building applications, from residential renovations to commercial and leisure sector refurbishments.

Constructed from mineral wool, the RWA45 100mm slab boasts a density of 45kg/m3 and a non-directional fibre structure, enhancing its acoustic capabilities. This makes it perfect for use in separating walls and floors where superior sound insulation is required.

The Rockwool RWA45 100mm also excels in fire safety, achieving an A1 non-combustible rating, ensuring maximum resistance against fire spread and damage. Its thermal properties are equally impressive, with a conductivity of just 0.035 W/mK, aiding in maintaining a building's thermal efficiency.

What's more, Rockwool slabs are resin bonded and cut to 1200mm x 600mm, which allows them to slot perfectly between standard stud partitions and floor joists that are at 600mm centres.

The 100mm is the most popular thickness of the Rockwool RW slab range and has a pack quantity of 4 slabs. Rockwool also manufactures in thicknesses: 25mm, 50mm and 75mm

Where Is Rockwool RWA45 100mm Used?

  • Interior timber or steel partition walls
  • Interior timber frame floors
  • Interior timber frame ceilings
  • Acoustic ceilings and partition panels
  • I-joist interior partitions
  • Pitched roofs
  • Party walls
  • Industrial applications

Fantastic product. When it came to adding these in between the studwork, they were simple to fit into place and then to cut I used a bread knife, as I didn't have a drywall knife - the slabs are like you are cutting bread! The RWA45 slabs have helped reduce noise between rooms since I've installed and I would recommend buying them.
