Rockwool 75mm RWA45 slabs really do it all. With thermal, acoustic and fire preventative properties, you can be sure this robust insulation solution will maintain high performance over the lifetime of your build. Let's have a look at the specs:
BS EN is British and European Standard Specifications. With over 100 years of experience, the British Standards Institute is recognised as the UK’s National standards body. BS EN considers Rockwool both:
100mm Rockwool slabs are also certified by Lloyd's register of shipping as non-combustible materials for use on:
RWA45 is a durable insulation solution which is trouble-free when it comes to cutting so you can get the best fit possible in all situations. The slabs have a soft, fibrous texture, very similar to a loaf of bread. Because of this, a serrated blade is all you need to slice through it.
When it comes to storage, we advise that you store the slabs inside; keeping them nice and dry.
Rockwool is recognised as being the market-leading acoustic insulation solution. All Rockwool RW slab products offer outstanding fire, acoustic and thermal insulation properties as well as lifelong durability. The product range consists of high-quality resin bonded slabs in a variety of thicknesses and densities. Rockwool RW semi-rigid slab products, either un-faced or with an aluminium foil or glass fleece on one or both surfaces, achieve an A1 classification in accordance with BS EN 13501-1 and thus meet the requirements of non-combustible materials, as defined in UK and Ireland Building Regulations.
Rockwool thermal and acoustic insulation slab is best known for its excellent acoustic performance. Rockwool respectfully thrashes competitor brands with its prevention of noise transmission from room to room, making it ideal for installation in internal and separating walls.
Rockwool stone wool products work in two distinct ways to dampen sound, either by impeding the transmission of sound through an element of the structure or by absorption of sound at the surface.
Its higher density and non-directional fibre structure trap sound waves and deaden sound vibrations like no other insulation on the market. The structure of the fibres in RWA45 slabs grants them their incredible sound-absorbing performance, with characteristically high coefficients over a wide frequency range.
