What Is 12.5mm Gyproc Wallboard Duplex Tapered Edge?

12.5mm Gyproc Wallboard Duplex Tapered Edge Plasterboard 2400mm x 1200mm is an advanced solution designed to combat condensation while fortifying structural integrity in homes.

Integrating cutting-edge plasterboard lining with state-of-the-art vapour control technology, 12.5mm Gyproc Wallboard Duplex Tapered Edge offers superior performance in internal wall and ceiling linings, providing optimal vapour control where needed. However, please note, the boards are not unsuitable for use in areas subject to continuously damp or humid conditions.

12.5mm Gyproc Wallboard Duplex Tapered Edge's non-combustible gypsum core, along with robust paper liners and a specialised vapour-controlled membrane, ensures enhanced fire protection and reduced airborne noise transmission.

The 1200mm x 2400mm x 12.5mm boards showcase a tapered edge, making them ideal for both jointing and skimming and providing a smooth, inert surface for a decorative finish in internal walls and ceilings.

Offering versatility in their application, the boards can also be applied to timber and metal partitions with mechanical fixings and to various brick/masonry backgrounds with plasterboard adhesive.

12.5mm Gyproc Wallboard Duplex Cutting

The boards can be cut with a plasterboard saw, or you can simply score the front face paper with a knife before snapping it over a straight edge, repeating the process on the back face paper.

Holes for socket boxes and outlets should be cut with a simple utility saw.

12.5mm Gyproc Wallboard Duplex TE Plasterboard Finishing

The ivory face can be plastered with either Thistle Board Finish or Thistle Multi-Finish.

It is also possible to apply paint/wallpaper directly to the surface of the plasterboard and the liners but please note jointing systems should be finished with Gyproc Drywall Sealer before application.

How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
