What Is Recticel 100mm Insulation?
With energy bills on an ever-increasing climb upwards, we're all looking for ways to become more energy efficient and get more out of the gas and electricity we're spending our hard-earned cash on.
With 100mm Recticel Eurothane GP Insulation Board you can make heat loss a thing of the past and lower your heating bills with little to no effort. This high performance PIR insulation board is a BBA certified thermal solution that can be used in a wide variety of building applications.
With a thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/mK, 100mm Recticel Eurothane boards are up there with competitors Kingspan and Celotex, offering the same high level of thermal performance for multiple applications including solid wall and framed wall builds, floors, pitched roofs and ceilings.
100mm Recticel Eurothane GP Insulation Board Benefits
At 100mm thick, this is the most popular size within the Recticel Eurothane GP range. Boasting a light weight composition of rigid foam polyisocyanurate (PIR) core, these 100mm Recticel Insulation boards are faced on both sides with aluminium foil composite.
These foil facings act as a gas diffusion facer, resulting in an insulation board that has a lower (and therefore better) thermal conductivity. When it comes to insulation, Recticel's thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/mK (otherwise know as U-Value) indicates excellent thermal performance.
The boards also offer moisture and thermal resistance, meaning they will not absorb or hold water and offer excellent drying potential in your wall assembly, and therefore consistent thermal performance for years to come.
These boards really do it all, and the pros know it: whether it’s pitched roof, framed wall or floor applications, Eurothane Insulation board is the ideal solution amongst contractors and professional installers. Offering precision cut straight edges, high compressive strength and a super-flat surface finish, installation couldn't be quicker or easier. Not only that but Recticel is graded Euroclass F in fire performance with the surface spread of flame falling into Class 1.
Recticel Insulation 100mm Board Applications
100mm Recticel GP insulation board is incredibly versatile and offers benefits suitable for multiple applications such as pitched roofs, floors, and wall applications. This includes solid concrete floors (above and below slab), block and beam floors, suspended timber floors, underfloor heating systems, inner faces of external walls, internal walls and loft and roof areas.
When insulating roofs the boards are laid with the long edges parallel to the rafters in a tightly butted brick-bond pattern. If the desired insulation thickness comprises two layers, board joints should be staggered and the thicker layer positioned outermost. Boards can be temporarily fixed with nails prior to counter battening.
Where internal walls are concerned, the boards should be fitted in a tightly butted brick-bond pattern between the framed wall battens. When it comes to insulating floors with the boards, it's advised that flooring grade chipboard should then be laid over the insulation.
No matter which part of the building structure you are looking to insulate, you can depend on Recticel's general application insulation board.
Recticel 100mm Eurothane Sustainability
100mm Recticel Eurothane GP boards are not only impressive in their performance but they also hold up well in their environmental credentials.
The 2.4m x 1.2m boards are manufactured with a specially designed blowing agent that has low global warming potential. They also have zero ozone depletion potential (ODP), meaning they're a little kinder on the environment - so contrary to popular belief, it is easy being green, after all.
Recticel Insulation Storage & Handling
Boards are supplied in polythene shrink wrap for short-term protection. We advise that you store them indoors. As we know that's not always possible, our rule of thumb when it comes to storing outdoors, is that the boards should not be stored on the ground. Store them on a level surface and under a protective cover.
This Recticel Insulation board can be installed in a jiffy around studs or as an insulated sheathing. Eurothane GP insulation is lightweight yet strong and flexible all at the same time. It's designed for efficient cutting with a knife or fine-toothed saw. All in all, it's simple to cut, handle and install.
