Dry, warm and cosy is the expectation we have of most homes. With little to no effort, 140mm Recticel Eurothane GP Insulation Board can help you achieve this golden trio. This high performance PIR insulation board is a BBA certified thermal solution that can be utilised by the entire building chain.
With a thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/mK, 140mm Recticel Eurothane boards offer energy saving benefits that are equal to competitors Kingspan and Celotex.
The boards ensure excellent thermal performance and are perfectly suited for multiple applications including: solid wall and framed wall builds, floors, pitched roofs and ceilings; it's no wonder they're one of the most popular insulation products in the UK.

140mm is just one of many sizes within the Recticel Eurothane GP range. The brand offers a variety of thicknesses to suit your precise specification and is a crucial step within your build that ensures you meet and exceed thermal regulations.
Boasting a light weight composition of rigid foam polyisocyanurate (PIR) core, these 140mm Recticel Insulation boards are faced on both sides with aluminium foil composite. These foil facings act as a gas diffusion facer, resulting in an insulation board that has a lower (and therefore better) thermal conductivity.
The boards also offer moisture and thermal resistance, meaning they will not absorb or hold water (no more sag, phew), and offer excellent drying potential in your wall assembly, and therefore consistent thermal performance for years to come.
These premium PIR insulation boards are not only impressive in their performance but they also hold up well in their environmental credentials. The 2.4m x 1.2m boards are manufactured with a specially designed blowing agent that has low global warming potential. They also have zero ozone depletion potential (ODP), meaning they're a little kinder on the environment - so contrary to popular belief, it is easy being green, after all.
These boards really do it all, and the pros know it: whether it’s pitched roof, framed wall or floor applications, Eurothane Insulation board is the ideal solution amongst contractors and professional installers. Offering precision cut straight edges, high compressive strength and a super-flat surface finish, installation couldn't be quicker or easier. Not only that but Recticel is graded Euroclass F in fire performance with the surface spread of flame falling into Class 1.
Recticel Insulation is part of the listed Recticel Group, a leading European market player for polyurethane building materials. As a self-proclaimed 'international industrial player', Recticel offers high-quality thermal insulation products that are used immediately in construction projects and building renovations, meeting occupant needs for comfort and greater energy efficiency.
The Recitcel Eurothane GP insulation board is just one of many popular thermal insulation solutions in the Recticel product range. Their insulation products are marketed under well-known brand and product names: Eurowall®, Powerroof®, Powerdeck®, Powerwall®, Xentro®, amongst many more.
Recticel 140mm is incredibly versatile and suitable for multiple applications such as pitched roofs, floors, and wall applications. This includes solid concrete floors (above and below slab), block and beam floors, suspended timber floors, underfloor heating systems, inner faces of external walls, internal walls and loft and roof areas.
When insulating roofs the boards are laid with the long edges parallel to the rafters in a tightly butted brick-bond pattern. If the desired insulation thickness comprises two layers, board joints should be staggered and the thicker layer positioned outermost. Boards can be temporarily fixed with nails prior to counter battening. When it comes to insulating floors with the boards, it's advised that flooring grade chipboard should then be laid over the insulation.
No matter which part of the building structure you are looking to insulate, you can depend on Recticel's general application insulation boards.
Boards are supplied in polythene shrink wrap for short-term protection. We advise that you store them indoors. As we know that's not always possible, our rule of thumb when it comes to storing outdoors is that the boards should not be stored on the ground. Instead pop them on a level surface and under a protective cover.
The Recticel Insulation boards can be installed in a jiffy around studs or as an insulated sheathing. Eurothane GP PIR insulation is lightweight yet strong and flexible all at the same time. It's designed for efficient cutting with a knife or fine-toothed saw. All in all, it's simple to cut, handle and install.
