How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.

Product Overview

GL9 long leg galvanised steel liner brackets for use within Gypliner wall lining systems.

These brackets fix GL1 liner studs securely to masonry substrates, providing a strong and stable connection that accommodates uneven, irregular, or out-of-plumb wall surfaces.

The extended leg profile allows for greater adjustment tolerance, enabling the framework to be set out accurately even when the substrate is inconsistent.

By creating an adjustable fixing point, the bracket ensures that studs remain plumb and correctly aligned, forming a straight and reliable framework for plasterboard linings. This flexibility makes the bracket particularly suited to refurbishment projects and situations where walls cannot be relied upon to provide a flat surface.

Precision-formed from galvanised steel, the brackets combine strength, dimensional stability, and corrosion resistance, delivering consistent performance throughout the service life of the lining system.

When used with GL1 liner studs, GL8 track, and associated channels, the GL9 bracket integrates fully into the Gypliner drylining system, creating stable, non-loadbearing wall frameworks that support professional finishes and improved performance values.

Supplied in boxed quantities of 100 for efficient site handling and repeatable installation across larger wall areas.

Features & Benefits

  • Defined fixing role: Provides a secure anchorage point for attaching GL1 liner studs to masonry substrates.
  • Long leg profile: Offers increased adjustment capacity for fixing to uneven or out-of-plumb surfaces.
  • Framework alignment: Maintains stud plumbness and correct spacing, ensuring straight and stable wall frameworks.
  • Galvanised steel construction: Strong, rigid, and corrosion-resistant for reliable long-term service.
  • System integration: Works with GL1 studs, GL8 track, and associated channels to form complete Gypliner assemblies.
  • Refurbishment suitability: Ideal where substrates are irregular, poor quality, or unsuitable for direct bonding methods.

Applications

  • Gypliner wall linings: Essential fixing bracket for forming non-loadbearing wall lining frameworks.
  • Uneven substrates: Compensates for walls that are irregular, uneven, or out-of-plumb, ensuring accurate stud alignment.
  • Refurbishment projects: Suitable where older masonry or poor wall surfaces require adjustable fixing methods.
  • Performance frameworks: Supports systems designed to enhance acoustic, thermal, or fire performance.

Installation Guidance

  • Preparation: Ensure masonry substrate is sound and capable of accepting mechanical fixings.
  • Bracket positioning: Fix GL9 brackets to the substrate at specified centres in line with stud spacing.
  • Stud fixing: Insert GL1 liner studs into the brackets and secure firmly to maintain plumbness and alignment.
  • Adjustment capacity: Use the long leg profile to accommodate irregularities and establish a straight framework line.
  • System integration: Complete the assembly with GL8 track, additional channels, and plasterboard linings.
  • Handling care: Avoid bending or distorting brackets during installation to maintain adjustment range and strength.

Compliance & Performance

  • Material specification: Manufactured from galvanised steel for strength, rigidity, and corrosion resistance.
  • System compatibility: Designed specifically for use with GL1 liner studs, GL8 track, and other Gypliner components.
  • Structural performance: Provides adjustable fixing points that ensure stable, accurate stud frameworks.
  • Durability assurance: Maintains performance integrity throughout the service life of the system.
  • Important note: Intended for use only within non-loadbearing drylining systems.
