The name “Green Treated” derives from the hue that appears on the wood due to the treating process, whereby it is dipped or sprayed in a copper-based chemical solution to repel against insect damage, rot or fungal growth, enhancing its durability and longevity.
What’s more, the timber is kiln-dried which effectively regulates the moisture levels of the wood to a level suited for work on-site. This process prevents any warping or cracking that may distort the product.
