Product Overview
C+/C grade softwood shuttering plywood sheet, measuring 2440mm x 1220mm (8' x 4') with a 12mm thickness.
When used as formwork, it provides a flat, stable face to shape poured concrete, holding its position under the pressure of wet mixes during curing.
The cross-laminated veneers prevent distortion, while the exterior-grade adhesive resists delamination from constant moisture exposure and the wet-dry cycles typical on site.
Suitable for medium-duty formwork, hoardings, and site barriers, it balances strength with ease of handling.
Features & Benefits
- Reliable structural performance: Certified for load-bearing use in temporary works and construction.
- Moisture-resistant bonding: Exterior-grade glue resists wet concrete and repeated wetting and drying.
- Utility-grade faces: C+/C grading gives a smoother working face and a reverse face with visible knots.
- Cross-grain construction: Alternating veneers reduce warping, splitting, and expansion.
- Durability under pressure: Resists deformation under medium-duty concrete load.
- Workable material: Easy to cut, drill, and fix with standard tools.
- Standard sheet size (2440mm x 1220mm): Covers 2.98m² per sheet, minimising waste.
- Thickness 12mm: Mid-range option for formwork, hoardings, and site barriers.
Please Note: As a natural softwood product, surface features such as knots, discolouration, or splits may be visible. These do not affect structural performance.
Applications
- Formwork: Provides a reliable face for medium-duty concrete pours.
- Site hoarding: Secure, robust choice for perimeter enclosures.
- Temporary site structures: Suitable for barriers, screens, and general site protection.
- General construction: Used in packaging, joinery, and temporary building tasks.
Installation Guidance
- Seal edges before exterior use: Prevents moisture ingress and extends service life.
- Apply protective coatings where needed: Improves durability in wet or humid environments.
- Use galvanised or stainless fixings: Protects against corrosion and ensures stability under load.
Compliance & Performance
- Structural grade: CE2+, tested to EN 13986 for load-bearing use.
- Service class: EN636-2 S, suitable for structural use in humid conditions.
- Glue line: EN314-2 Class 3 exterior bond, resistant to weather exposure and wet concrete.
- Veneer quality: C+/C grading - smoother C+ face, utility C reverse with sound knots and imperfections.
- Formaldehyde release: E1 classification (low emission).
- Surface appearance: EN 635-3 standard.
- Classification note: Formerly referred to as WBP plywood; superseded by EN standards.

How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
