100mm Kingspan TR27 is designed to reduce the amount of energy that homeowners lose through their flat roofs. Flat roofs are one of the biggest areas of heat loss in homes. Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 is comprised of a rigid thermoset PIR core that has one of the lowest thermal conductivities available on the market.

Thermal conductivity values are an important consideration for homeowners who want to slash their energy bills. The lower the value, the better the material will protect your home against heat loss. TR27 insulation boards have thermal values as low as 0.024 W/mK.

Even better, they are compatible with a wide range of systems. It is generally used for insulating flat roofs, and is fully compatible with fully adhered single ply, partially bonded built up felt, mastic asphalt and cold liquid applied waterproofing. These non-deleterious boards are very easy to handle and install.

Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 100mm insulation is comprised of a fibre free rigid thermoset polyisocyanurate (PIR) core, with a coated glass tissue face on both sides. It is the go-to choice for people who want to improve the overall thermal envelope of their homes. Homeowners lose around 25% of the heat in their homes through their roofs. When you choose Kingspan TR27 insulation, you can expect thermal conductivities as low as 0.024 W/mK.

Kingspan Therma TR27 is extremely easy to handle. Despite being rigid, PIR is very lightweight. It is also a non-deleterious material, which means that it is not harmful to health or the environment. You can handle PIR without protective gear. If you are searching for a hassle-free material that has excellent thermal conductivity, look no further. TR27 is manufactured using a blowing agent that has zero ozone depletion potential and low global warming potential.

Kingspan 100mm TR27 Insulation Applications

Kingspan TR27 is designed to insulate flat roofs waterproofed with a range of systems. It is fully compatible with fully adhered single ply, partially bonded built up felt, mastic asphalt and cold liquid applied waterproofing.  It is usually installed with single-ply non-bituminous membranes that are fully bonded with solvent-based adhesive systems. TR27 is also compatible with most green roof systems, bitumen-based systems, and mastic asphalt waterproofing systems.

Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 PIR Core

Kingspan TR27 has a fibre-free rigid PIR core. PIR is short for polyisocyanurate. It is a thermoset polymeric material that combines polyols and isocyanates. During the manufacturing process, a cross-linking chemical reaction occurs that creates an extremely rigid, strong material.

PIR is a popular, widely manufactured insulation material. It has one of the lowest thermal conductivity values available on the market, which means it retains heat well. The lower the value, the better the material will insulate your home. Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 boards have a conductivity of 0.024 W/mK, meaning they provide excellent thermal protection.

Kingspan Therma TR27 Water Resistance

When it comes to flat roof insulation, one of the main considerations is waterproofing. If you do not protect your insulation from the elements, you might have to deal with rot and fungi. Moisture can impact the longevity of your insulation materials.

TR27 100mm insulation is comprised of a rigid thermoset PIR core. PIR is resistant to water. You should always take extra precautions to ensure that your insulation is protected from moisture. We recommend using waterproof membranes to safeguard your materials. Once you have installed the correct materials, you do not have to worry about high rainfalls.
