Kingspan 100mm TR27 Insulation Applications
Kingspan TR27 is designed to insulate flat roofs waterproofed with a range of systems. It is usually installed with single-ply non-bituminous membranes that are fully bonded with solvent-based adhesive systems. TR27 is also compatible with most green roof systems, bitumen-based systems, and mastic asphalt waterproofing systems.
Kingspan Thermaroof TR27 PIR Core
Kingspan TR27 has a fibre-free rigid PIR core. PIR is short for polyisocyanurate. It is a thermoset polymeric material that combines polyols and isocyanates. During the manufacturing process, a cross-linking chemical reaction occurs that creates an extremely rigid, strong material.
PIR is a popular, widely manufactured insulation material. It has one of the lowest thermal conductivity values available on the market, which means it retains heat well.
