Product Overview
Type 4 Wall Ties 250mm for use in cavity walls with widths of 101–125mm, providing secure restraint between masonry leaves while allowing for differential movement.
As a Type 4 tie to BS EN 845-1, these are suitable for dwellings up to 10m high in sheltered environments, typically where basic wind speed is below 27m/s. Their classification ensures they are correctly specified for residential construction in low-exposure conditions.
Each tie features an indented profile to improve mortar bond and provide effective wall stability. The 250mm size ensures correct seating and embedment of at least 62.5mm into each leaf, even across cavities up to 125mm wide. This prevents structural weakness from under-embedment.
Manufactured from stainless steel, they are resistant to corrosion and offer long service life without need for replacement.
