How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.

Product Overview
29kg Code 4 Roll of Milled Lead Flashing in a 240mm width and standard 6m length, delivering approximately 1.44m² of coverage per roll.
Code 4 refers to a nominal thickness of 1.80mm, equating to 20.41kg per m², making it the standard grade for general-purpose flashings that balance strength with workability.
At 240mm wide, this is suited to wide soakers, cover flashings, and dormer detailing where a broader strip of lead is required. Manufactured to BS EN 12588, the milling process produces uniform thickness, fine grain structure, and a smooth finish for reliable installation.
Its purpose is to provide a malleable, durable, and completely waterproof seal at critical junctions - including abutments, chimneys, and parapets - preventing water ingress and extending the lifespan of the building fabric.
Application of patination oil after installation is essential to prevent carbonate staining.
Features & Benefits
- Exceptional durability: Lead offers one of the longest service lives of any construction material, resisting corrosion, UV degradation, and weathering.
- Malleability: Code 4 thickness allows easy dressing and shaping with hand tools to form complex roof details.
- Weatherproofing: Provides a fully impermeable barrier to water ingress, protecting vulnerable roof junctions.
- BS EN 12588 compliance: Manufactured to exacting European standards with consistent thickness and composition.
- Sustainable material: Lead is 100% recyclable and frequently produced with high recycled content.
- Coverage efficiency: Each 29kg roll provides 1.44m² of flashing material, suitable for wider detailing and cover flashings.
Applications
- Wide soakers: Creates effective soaker flashings for broader abutments.
- Cover flashings: Provides cover over upstands and wide junctions.
- Dormer details: Suitable for cheeks and aprons of medium dormer windows.
- Window and sill trays: Ensures reliable damp proofing beneath larger openings.
- General abutments: Provides weatherproof seals where roofs meet vertical walls.
Installation Guidance
- Preparation: Ensure substrates are dry, sound, and free from debris.
- Fixing: Secure with lead wedges or clips, allowing for expansion and contraction.
- Lap joints: Provide minimum 150mm laps to maintain weatherproof integrity.
- Patination oil: Apply immediately after fixing to prevent staining and enhance appearance.
- Support: Provide adequate support beneath wider runs to reduce risk of fatigue cracking.
