What Is 75mm Knauf Acoustic Roll?

Knauf Acoustic 75mm Insulation Roll excels in sound absorption and concurrently enhances the thermal and fire resistance of walls, floors, and partitions.

Specifically engineered for friction fitting between joists and studs at 600mm centres, Acoustic Roll effectively reduces noise transmission across separating walls and floors, as well as in internal structures and both timber and metal stud partitions.

Constructed from glass mineral wool fibres and unified by Knauf Insulation's advanced ECOSE Technology, these 75mm insulation rolls offer a softer texture and an improved handling experience.

Measuring 1200mm in width, they are produced with a minimum density of 10Kg/m3 and are designed with perforations that allow for division into four 600mm sections. Additionally, they boast a high fire safety rating of A1, classifying them as non-combustible.

75mm Acoustic Sound Insulation Roll Applications

  • Separating walls and floors
  • Internal walls and floors
  • Timber and metal stud partitions

75mm Knauf Acoustic Performance

75mm acoustic rolls are made from robust glass mineral wool. The glass wool manufacturing process creates a product with a random fibre structure which traps thousands of air pockets; these air pockets essentially 'catch' the sound as it passes through, reducing noise transmission.

Sound waves travel through materials in vibrations. If your walls and floors are not insulated, there are very few barriers for the sound waves to get through. The more layers the vibrations have to travel through, the fewer that will make it into the next room. The rolls have a minimum density of 10kg/m3, and this manufactured density meets standards for robust detail separating floors and walls.

75mm Insulation Roll Acoustic Sound Insulation Benefits

  • Excellent sound absorption characteristics provide high levels of sound reduction
  • Friction fits between studs and closes joints to ensure sound insulation performance is achieved
  • Roll format allows fast installation
  • Ready-cut rolls for use with timber studs at 600mm centres - pre-perforated for 4 x 600mm rolls to allow quick and economical installation between standard timber studs and the joists of internal floors
  • Euroclass Reaction to Fire Classification (A1-F): A1
  • Proven test results with all major brands of plasterboard to provide assured compliance with sound-related building regulations

Knauf Acoustic Insulation 75mm Certifications

  • Generic BRE Green Guide Rating A+
  • A1 Euroclass Fire Rating
