Product Overview

50mm Metal C Stud in a 3600mm length, manufactured from galvanised steel, providing strength, corrosion resistance, and long-term dimensional accuracy.

Precision roll-formed edges create a rigid framework that holds plasterboard securely in place and ensures walls are straight and true.

Its slim 50mm cavity makes it particularly effective in domestic or space-restricted areas, allowing for service routing without compromising floor space.

The 3600mm length provides full coverage for extended wall heights, reducing the need for horizontal joints and ensuring a stable, continuous finish.

Features & Benefits

  • Galvanised protection: Zinc coating shields against corrosion during storage, installation, and service life.
  • Precision roll-formed edges: Consistent alignment and rigidity support accurate wall construction.
  • Lightweight handling: Slim profile makes the stud easy to lift, cut, and position without specialist equipment.
  • 50mm cavity depth: Provides a compact void suitable for light cabling or pipework.
  • 3600mm length: Long span covers higher partitions with fewer joints.

Applications

  • Domestic partitions: Forms slim dividing walls in houses or apartments.
  • Boxing-in: Encloses services or ducting in restricted spaces.
  • Compact office layouts: Suitable for narrow stud walls in commercial interiors.
  • Service routing: Provides a void for small-scale electrical or plumbing runs.

Installation Guidance

  • Stud positioning: Install vertically within floor and ceiling tracks at regular centres.
  • Board fixing: Attach plasterboard securely with drywall screws for a smooth finish.
  • Cutting: Trim to size with tin snips for a clean edge.
  • Joint alignment: Use full-length studs to avoid unnecessary board joints.

Compliance & Performance

  • Material standard: Manufactured from cold-rolled galvanised steel to EN 14195.
  • Fire and acoustic potential: Performance is determined by partition design and boarding specification.
  • Dimensional reliability: Roll-formed process ensures consistent width and straightness.
  • Corrosion resistance: Zinc coating tested for use in dry internal environments.
  • Important note: Wear gloves and eye protection when cutting to avoid injury from sharp edges.

How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
