Product Overview

32mm x 125mm softwood decking board, measuring 4800mm in length.

Cut from slow-grown softwood and pressure treated for long-lasting protection, this board offers two distinct reversible surface options: a grooved face for improved grip and either a smooth or reeded reverse for design flexibility.

Machined for consistent sizing, it handles easily on site and is compatible with all standard decking screws and fixings.

At 4.8m, these boards achieve long, uninterrupted runs across a deck, reducing the number of visible joins. This creates a more polished and professional finish while minimising potential weak points where boards meet.

Please Note:

  • Reversible decking will be supplied in one of the following profile combinations: grooved and smooth or grooved and reeded, depending on availability in your delivery area. If you require a specific profile, please contact our sales team before placing your order. Not all profile types are available in all locations.
  • The finished size of our timber may vary slightly from the nominal dimensions. Nom - 32mm x 125mm/Fin - 27mm x 118mm.
  • Colour and finish are representative only and may vary slightly as this is a natural product.

Features & Benefits

  • Reversible two-sided finish: Grooved & Smooth or Grooved & Reeded profiles provide choice of texture.
  • Pressure-treated protection: Deep preservative treatment helps resist decay and insect attack.
  • Slow-grown softwood: Denser grain for improved stability and cleaner machining.
  • Workable timber: Cuts, drills, and fixes easily using standard site tools and exterior-grade screws.
  • Versatile finish: Accepts decking oils, stains, or paints for a tailored look.
  • Cost-effective performance: A durable alternative to hardwood decking at a lower price point.
  • Length 4800mm: Greater coverage and fewer joins, ideal for larger decking areas.

Applications

  • Garden decks and patios: Create practical, attractive outdoor living areas.
  • Raised platforms and balconies: Strong enough for elevated installations when correctly supported.
  • Built-in seating or edging details: Ideal for benches, planters, and trim work around decks.
  • Café and restaurant terraces: A cost-effective choice for commercial outdoor spaces.
  • Steps and low-traffic walkways: Provides a stable, slip-resistant surface.

Installation Guidance

  • Sub-frame preparation: Ensure joists are properly spaced and treated for outdoor use.
  • Fixing method: Use exterior-grade screws through pre-drilled clearance holes; avoid nailing.
  • Ventilation & drainage: Allow gaps between boards to promote airflow and water run-off.
  • Finishing: Apply a protective oil or stain after installation and maintain seasonally.

Compliance & Performance

  • Treated softwood classification: Designed for external use in line with standard decking applications.
  • Service class: Intended for external service conditions with regular maintenance.
  • Dimensions: Nominal 32mm x 125mm; finished size typically 27mm x 118mm.
