Product Overview
XPS Laminate Plus Insulated Plasterboard measuring 27mm thick and 2400mm x 1200mm in size. A composite drylining board combining 9.5mm wallboard with an extruded polystyrene (XPS) insulation core for enhanced thermal and moisture performance.
The rigid XPS layer offers higher compressive strength and lower water absorption than standard EPS, providing reliable thermal insulation in areas exposed to intermittent damp or condensation risk.
Designed for direct application to masonry or solid wall surfaces, the laminate improves internal comfort, reduces cold bridging, and supports compliance with modern energy standards.
The plasterboard face provides a smooth, flat surface suitable for direct decoration or plaster skim finishing, making it an efficient solution for both refurbishment and upgrade projects.
At 27mm overall thickness, it is suited to drylining applications where improved insulation and moisture resistance are required within a compact wall build-up.
Features & Benefits
- Laminated XPS and plasterboard construction: Combines insulation and interior finish in one composite board.
- Extruded polystyrene insulation: Provides superior thermal resistance with minimal moisture absorption.
- Smooth plasterboard surface: Ready for direct painting, wallpapering, or skim plaster finish.
- Rigid and dimensionally stable: Maintains flatness and edge integrity during handling and installation.
- Lightweight composition: Simplifies transport and fixing, reducing installation time.
- Moisture-resistant insulation core: Suitable for use on walls prone to minor damp or condensation.
- Energy-efficient design: Improves wall U-values and supports compliance with energy performance requirements.
- 27mm thickness: Ideal for refurbishment work where insulation upgrade is required without significant space loss.
Applications
- Internal wall drylining: Upgrades thermal and moisture performance of external or solid walls.
- Refurbishment projects: Enhances comfort and reduces energy consumption in existing buildings.
- Ceiling or roof slopes: Provides a continuous thermal layer in room-in-roof conversions.
- Utility and service areas: Suitable for drylining semi-exposed or intermittently damp rooms.
Installation Guidance
- Fix with adhesive dabs or mechanical fixings: Ensures full bond and stability on masonry or stud walls.
- Cut cleanly with fine-tooth saw or knife: Allows precise fitting around sockets, reveals, and openings.
- Seal perimeters and joints: Maintains insulation continuity and air-tightness.
- Store flat and dry: Protects plasterboard face and prevents distortion prior to installation.
Compliance & Performance
- Manufactured to EN 13950: Conforms to European standard for laminated insulation boards.
- Thermal conductivity (XPS layer): Approx. 0.033 W/mK.
- Moisture absorption: Very low, maintaining insulation performance in humid environments.
- Environmental performance: XPS core is free from CFCs and HCFCs and offers recyclable content.
- Important note: Install in accordance with internal wall insulation guidance to achieve declared thermal values and moisture control.

How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
