How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.

Product Overview

Softwood Plywood Tongue and Groove Flooring with a 18mm thickness. Manufactured from high-quality softwood veneers, this precision-engineered plywood panel combines strength, lightness, and ease of handling.

The machined tongue and groove profile on all four sides allows tight-fitting joints that enhance rigidity while maintaining smooth alignment. Designed primarily for domestic and light structural applications, it provides a reliable flooring base or decking layer where a thinner, more manageable board is preferred.

The pine-faced surface accepts a variety of decorative finishes, including varnish, paint, or stain. Overall thickness of 18mm offers solid load-bearing performance with reduced weight, making it suitable for renovation, loft, and light floor build-ups.

Features & Benefits

  • High-grade softwood construction: Offers consistent strength and stability for structural and flooring applications.
  • Tongue and groove edge profile: Provides tight, secure joints on all four sides for improved load distribution and reduced deflection.
  • Seamless jointing: Ensures a smooth, gap-free surface suitable for direct floor finishes or coverings.
  • Dimensional stability: Maintains shape and integrity under temperature and humidity variations.
  • Ease of machining: Cuts cleanly using standard woodworking tools for precision fitting and adjustment.
  • Customisable surface: Pine-faced veneer allows clear varnish, paint, or stain finishes for decorative presentation.
  • Board thickness 18mm: Optimised for light to medium-duty floors, decking, or overlay applications.

Applications

  • Domestic flooring: Serves as a structural base or finished surface in residential floor systems.
  • Roof decking: Provides a stable platform for insulation and weatherproofing layers.
  • Site hoarding: Suitable for temporary or semi-permanent enclosures requiring strength and reusability.
  • Vehicle bodywork: Offers a durable, lightweight base for van or trailer flooring.
  •  DIY and creative projects: Adaptable for custom furniture, shelving, or craft builds requiring a strong timber sheet material.

Installation Guidance

  • Subfloor preparation: Ensure joists or supports are level, clean, and adequately spaced for 18mm boards.
  • Board fixing: Fit tongue and groove edges tightly and fix using screws or ring-shank nails at recommended centres.
  • Expansion allowance: Leave a small perimeter gap to accommodate natural timber movement.
  • Surface finishing: Sand lightly before applying varnish, paint, or other surface treatments if a decorative finish is required.

Compliance & Performance

  • Material specification: Multi-layer softwood veneer plywood bonded with moisture-resistant adhesive.
  • Load performance: Suitable for general structural flooring applications under domestic load conditions.
  • Edge precision: Machined tongue and groove joints maintain alignment and prevent surface movement.
  • Important note: Boards should be acclimatised to site conditions before installation to prevent movement after fixing.
