Made using Knauf Insulation's innovative ECOSE Technology, these lightweight, flexible rolls are soft to the touch and promise easy handling, making them the perfect solution for insulating cold lofts at ceiling level.
170mm Knauf Insulation Loft Roll 44 is supplied 1140mm wide and partially perforated to produce either 2 rolls 570mm wide or 3 rolls 380mm wide. Not only is it a wonderful sound absorber, but it also offers decent thermal performance with a thermal conductivity of 0.044 W/mK. It also boasts an impressive reaction to fire classification of A1 non-combustible, offering the highest level of fire performance available.

Knauf Earthwool Loft Roll 44 170mm is supplied partially perforated, providing the flexibility to be used between joists or used uncut as a full-width roll, maximising on-site efficiency. Earthwool Loft Roll 44 170mm insulation roll is primarily used for the thermal insulation of pitched roofs at ceiling level, yet it can also be used to thermally insulate floors.

When used at ceiling level it is usually laid in two layers, with the first layer between the joists and the second layer over, and at right angles to the joists.
If installed correctly, these lightweight 170mm loft insulation rolls have a long lifespan. In general, glass mineral wool has a lifespan of 25 years.

Knauf 170mm Insulation Handling & Storage
Knauf's 170mm insulation roll is buttery soft and easy to handle and install thanks to its incorporation of Knauf's innovative ECOSE Technology.
The rolls are supplied in polythene packs which are designed for short term protection only. For longer-term protection on site, the product should be stored either indoors, or undercover and off the ground.
Earthwool Loft Roll 44 should not be left permanently exposed to the elements.
Knauf Earthwool 170mm Installation
Knauf Insulation Loft Roll 44 insulation is designed for installation in lofts between suspended timber floors and pitched roofs at ceiling level. Unlike insulation boards, rolls do not have facings. In most cases, you will have to install protective sheets on top of the roll to ensure its longevity.
