What Is 100mm Cavity Wall Insulation Celotex CW4100?

Homes insulated with Celotex's 100mm Cavity Wall Insulation Board are not only warmer but also more cost-effective to maintain. This insulation solution significantly lowers energy bills by enhancing your home's thermal efficiency.

Specifically designed for partial fill cavity walls, it utilises a high-performance rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) core, encapsulated between two layers of low emissivity foil facings, delivering an exceptional thermal conductivity of just 0.022 W/mK.

The boards' 100mm thickness and closed-cell structure offer excellent water-repellent properties, ensuring a weather-tight seal that prevents moisture from compromising insulation effectiveness.

These BBA-certified 100mm cavity wall insulation boards, leading the market in PIR cavity wall insulation, measure 1200mm x 450mm.

Their size, coupled with their rigid yet lightweight nature, makes them easy to handle and install, offering a snug fit between cavity wall ties for optimal thermal protection.

Where Is 100mm Cavity Wall Insulation Celotex CW4100 Used?

Celotex 100mm cavity wall insulation provides a completely reliable and cost-effective method of insulating new masonry cavity walls.

These partial fill cavity batts are sized at 1200mm x 450mm to suit standard wall tie spacings and provide a closed joint with adjacent boards.

For reference, a cavity describes two external walls that are separated by an air gap. These walls are often referred to as masonry leaves.

100mm Cavity Wall Insulation CW4100 Benefits

100mm Cavity Wall Insulation Celotex CW4100 is a good choice for homeowners who want to protect their homes from the elements and prevent air movement and heat loss in vulnerable exposure zones.

Let's check the specs:

  • Flanked by low emissivity foil facings on either side for improved thermal insulation performance in cavity air spaces
  • Future proofs the energy performance of new and existing buildings
  • Comes in conveniently sized boards for installation between cavity wall ties using cavity tie clips
  • British Board Approved (BBA) for use as partial fill insulation in masonry cavity walls
  • Complies with building regulations to improve the thermal envelope of your home
  • Zero ODP and Low Global Warming Potential (GWP)
  • BBA certified
  • BRE Green Guide Rating of A for sustainability
  • Thermal resistance: 4.5m2K/W

Celotex 100mm Cavity Wall Insulation Certifications

Celotex 100mm Cavity Wall Insulation has a fire rating of E on the Euroclass Scale, which means that it has a high contribution to fire and is not classified as ‘non-combustible’ or of ‘limited combustibility'.

However, it may be used without height restriction in a wall on, or less than 1m from, a relevant boundary provided it is installed in a cavity that is between two leaves of masonry at least 75mm thick and has a cavity barrier around all openings in the wall and at the top of the wall head.

  • Spread of flame: fire classification of Class E
  • Thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m.K, reducing the thickness of insulation required to hit the target U-value - BS EN 12667
  • CE marking compliance to BS EN 13165:2001
  • BRE Green Guide Rating of A for sustainability - which can assist in demonstrating environmental performance in your BREEAM assessments
  • BBA certified
