Product Description

Insulated homes are not only warmer but cheaper to run. Celotex CW4000 Cavity Wall Insulation Board helps to drive energy bills down whilst improving the thermal envelope of your home. This rigid polyisocyanurate (PIR) insulation solution is manufactured for use in partial fill cavity walls.

Comprised of a PIR core sandwiched between low emissivity foil facings on both sides, these boards have a thermal conductivity of just 0.022 W/mK. This makes them a far more effective thermal cavity solution than either rock or glass mineral wool insulation. These cavity insulation batts fit snugly in between cavity wall ties, and are perfect for use in new builds and extensions with a masonry cavity wall construction.

Celotex CW4000 is a BBA certified solution and is the leading brand in the market for PIR cavity wall insulation. Sized at 1200mm x 450mm, these convenient sized boards are rigid, lightweight and easy to handle and install.

100mm CW4100 Cavity Wall Insulation Applications

Homeowners lose over a third of the heat in their homes through the walls. By investing in partial-fill 100mm Celotex cavity wall insulation, you can reduce your energy bills and keep your home warmer for longer. It is a closed-cell, water repellent insulation board meaning not only will the boards provide weather-tight protection but moisture won't compromise insulation performance.

Celotex 100mm wall insulation provides a completely reliable and cost-effective method of insulating new masonry cavity walls. A cavity describes two external walls that are separated by an air gap. These walls are often referred to as masonry leaves.

These partial fill cavity batts are sized at 1200mm x 450mm to suit standard wall tie spacings and provide a closed joint with adjacent boards.

100mm Celotex Cavity Wall Insulation Board Specifications

For improved thermal insulation performance, look no further than Celotex CW4100. Celotex CW4100 (part of the Celotex CW4000 product range) is a high-performance insulation board aimed specifically at partial fill cavity wall applications. This partial-fill 100mm cavity wall insulation board combines affordability with excellent thermal protection. It is made from PIR, which has a thermal conductivity value of 0.022 W/mK.

PIR is a good choice for homeowners who want to protect their homes from the elements and prevent air movement and heat loss in vulnerable exposure zones. PIR insulation promises durability and excellent thermal protection, better than that of most other building materials.

Let's check the specs:

  • Flanked by low emissivity foil facings on either side for improved thermal insulation performance in cavity air spaces
  • Future proofs the energy performance of new and existing buildings
  • Comes in conveniently sized boards for installation between cavity wall ties using cavity tie clips
  • British Board Approved (BBA) for use as partial fill insulation in masonry cavity walls
  • Complies with building regulations for improving the thermal envelope of your home
  • Zero ODP and Low Global Warming Potential (GWP)
  • BBA certified
  • BRE Green Guide Rating of A for sustainability
  • Thermal resistance: 4.5m2K/W

100mm Celotex Cavity Insulation Certifications

Celotex CW4100 is comprised of a PIR core and foil facings on either side. PIR is one of the most popular insulation materials on the market because it delivers excellent thermal protection at an affordable price.

It has a fire rating of E on the Euroclass Scale, which means that it has a high contribution to fire and is not classified as ‘non-combustible’ or of ‘limited combustibility'. However, they may be used without height restriction in a wall on, or less than 1m from, a relevant boundary provided they are installed in a cavity that is between two leaves of masonry at least 75mm thick, and which has a cavity barrier around all openings in the wall and at the top of the wall head.

Let's check the certifications:

  • Spread of flame: fire classification of Class E
  • Thermal conductivity of 0.022 W/m.K, reducing the thickness of insulation required to hit the target U-value - BS EN 12667
  • CE marking compliance to BS EN 13165:2001
  • BRE Green Guide Rating of A for sustainability - which can assist in demonstrating environmental performance in your BREEAM assessments
  • BBA certified

For the highest possible Euroclass fire rating A1, we recommend Rockwool Full Fill Cavity Batts which are a water-resistant solution that prevents water transmission from outer to inner leaf and reduces the thermal transmittance (U value) of new external cavity walls with masonry inner and outer leaves.

For external masonry cavity walls we also recommend Superglass Superwall Cavity Wall Insulation Slabs; these full-fill cavity batts provide enhanced thermal performance and can be used for both full-fill or partial-fill external masonry cavity walls.
