Product Overview

Wall plugs with a 7mm diameter and 36mm length. Designed for heavy-duty fixing of screws into masonry, brick, or concrete substrates.

The plug expands within the drilled hole as the screw is driven in, forming a secure mechanical key that resists pull-out and rotation.

Manufactured from high-grade nylon for durability and grip, these brown plugs suit large screws typically used for robust fittings and installations. They also provide a clean and stable fixing point for screws where direct insertion into masonry would otherwise cause cracking or loss of hold.

36mm length ensures deep anchorage for heavy fittings such as wall cabinets, large brackets, or fixtures requiring sustained load capacity in solid substrates.

Features & Benefits

  • Secure expansion grip: Expands evenly within the hole to provide reliable fixing strength in masonry and concrete.
  • Anti-rotation ribs: Prevent plug from spinning during screw insertion for consistent installation.
  • Durable nylon body: Resists cracking, shrinkage, and ageing for long-term performance.
  • Easy identification: Brown colour denotes 7mm nominal size for quick and accurate selection.
  • Deep anchorage depth: 36mm length suited to heavier fittings requiring greater embedment.

Applications

  • Wall cabinets and cupboards: Provides strong hold for fitted furniture and storage units.
  • Heavy shelving: Suitable for substantial shelf brackets or supports.
  • Radiator brackets and pipe clips: For mounting heating or plumbing fittings to solid walls.
  • General heavy fixings: Used for high-strength screw anchorage in brick, block, or concrete.

Installation Guidance

  • Drill correct hole size: Use a 7mm masonry drill bit to match plug diameter.
  • Clean the hole: Remove dust and debris for a firm plug fit.
  • Insert plug flush: Push the plug into the hole until level with the surface.
  •  Drive screw to expand: Insert screw to expand the plug and form a secure hold - do not overtighten.

Compliance & Performance

  • Material specification: High-quality nylon plug with impact and temperature resistance.
  • Performance: Suitable for heavy-duty load applications; always pair with matching large screws.
  • Compliance: Manufactured to applicable EN standards for plastic anchors.
  • Important note: Not recommended for soft materials or hollow substrates - use cavity fixings where required.

How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
