What is the Ulti-Mate Plain Tile Vent Grey?
The Ulti-Mate Plain Tile Vent Grey is a low-profile, high-performance vent designed for use with clay and concrete plain tiles on roofs with a minimum pitch of 35˚. It provides a discreet way to ventilate roof spaces without disrupting the look of a traditional plain-tiled roof.
Carefully engineered to match the appearance of standard plain tiles, the vent blends seamlessly into the roofline, maintaining the roof’s visual appeal while delivering effective airflow where it’s needed most.
With an impressive ventilation capacity of 6,000mm², it helps reduce moisture buildup, control condensation, and improve overall roof health. For general roof ventilation, vents should be spaced every 1 metre to achieve the full 6,000mm² airflow. Alternatively, for applications requiring 5,000mm², spacing can be extended to every 2 metres.
Beyond roof space ventilation, this tile vent can also serve as a termination point for soil and vent pipes or mechanical extraction systems. When combined with the ULTI3PTVA adaptor and ULTI3FP flexi-pipe, it offers even greater flexibility for a range of building and ventilation needs.
Applications
The Ulti-Mate Plain Tile Vent Grey can be installed during roof construction or retrofitted into existing roofs, making it a practical and versatile solution for both new builds and refurbishments.
In addition to basic roof ventilation, this product can be employed as a terminal for soil and ventilation pipes or mechanical extraction systems when used in conjunction with an adaptor and flexible pipe.
Key applications include:
- Roof space ventilation
- Connecting to soil and ventilation pipes
- Supporting mechanical extraction systems when used with the appropriate adaptor and flexi-pipe
Benefits
- Seamless Integration: Designed to match the appearance of standard plain roof tiles, this vent integrates effortlessly into the roof design, maintaining its aesthetic appeal while providing essential ventilation.
- Enhanced Airflow: With an airflow capacity of 6,000mm², it provides optimal ventilation for the roof space, reducing the risks of dampness, condensation, and heat buildup.
- Versatile Installation: It can be fitted during the roof installation process or retrofitted into existing roofs, making it a flexible option for new builds and renovation projects alike.
- Easy to Use with Accessories: When used with the ULTI3PTVA adaptor and ULTI3FP flexi-pipe, the vent can be connected to soil and ventilation pipes or mechanical extraction systems, expanding its functionality to meet various needs.
- Subtle and Discreet: Its low-profile design ensures that the vent remains nearly invisible once installed, preserving the sleek, clean look of your roof.
Guidelines for Use
- The Ulti-Mate Plain Tile Vent should be installed during the roof laying process for optimal results. It can also be retrofitted to an existing roof if required.
- To ensure a secure fit, the roof membrane must be cut to allow the vent to penetrate into the roof space. The membrane should then be folded back over the top batten to cover the vent installation.
- For connecting the vent to soil and ventilation pipes or mechanical extraction systems, it is recommended to use the ULTI3PTVA adaptor and ULTI3FP flexi-pipe.
- For 6,000mm² airflow, the spacing is recommended at every 1 metre.
- For 5,000mm² airflow, the spacing should be every 2 metres.
