How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.

Product Overview
Nylon Frame Fixings with an 8mm shank diameter and 100mm length. Designed for secure fixing of window and door frames, timber battens, and light structural elements into solid masonry, concrete, or brickwork.
The combination of a high-quality nylon plug and zinc-plated steel screw provides durable performance with consistent expansion under load.
The plug’s design ensures uniform anchorage and strong holding power in variable substrates.
8 x 100mm variant offers deeper anchorage for deeper frame fixings and installations where increased embedment improves holding security.
Features & Benefits
- Material composition: High-grade nylon plug with zinc-plated steel screw for strength and corrosion resistance.
- Design: Countersunk screw head for flush fitting in frames and battens.
- Performance: Expanding nylon sleeve delivers strong anchorage in masonry and concrete.
- Ease of use: Pre-assembled unit simplifies installation and reduces fitting time.
- Durability: Resistant to ageing, moisture, and temperature variation.
- Load suitability: Appropriate for deeper light to medium frame fixing applications.
Applications
- Window and door frames: Fixing frames securely into deeper or uneven masonry substrates.
- Timber battens: Anchoring deeper battens or spacer rails in solid walls.
- Electrical and plumbing supports: Fixing conduit clips, rails, or brackets requiring additional embedment.
- Interior frameworks: Suitable for fixing lightweight framing systems to thicker substrates.
Installation Guidance
- Drill hole preparation: Drill an 8mm diameter hole to the full fixing depth using an SDS or hammer drill.
- Clean borehole: Remove dust or debris to ensure full sleeve expansion.
- Insert assembly: Push the pre-assembled fixing through the frame and into the hole.
- Drive screw: Tighten the screw until the plug expands fully and the head seats flush.
- Avoid over-tightening: Excess torque may reduce expansion performance.
Compliance & Performance
- Material specification: Nylon PA6 plug with zinc-plated carbon steel screw.
- Corrosion resistance: Complies with EN ISO 9227 for indoor and sheltered outdoor use.
- Thermal stability: Maintains performance from -20°C to +80°C.
- Important note: Always ensure substrate integrity and correct drill size before installation.
