Product Overview

Nylon Frame Fixings with a 10mm shank diameter and 140mm length. Designed for heavy-duty fixing of window and door frames, timber battens, and deep construction elements into masonry or concrete.

The longer plug length delivers increased anchorage depth, providing secure fixing for large or reinforced frames.

10 x 140mm variant is ideal for oversized frame installations where greater holding capacity and long-term stability are essential.

Features & Benefits

  • Material composition: High-quality nylon plug paired with a zinc-plated carbon steel screw for strength and corrosion resistance.
  • Design: Expanding sleeve profile provides consistent engagement and secure hold in dense materials.
  • Performance: Controlled expansion delivers superior grip without substrate cracking.
  • Ease of use: Pre-assembled fixing allows fast and accurate installation through frames and battens.
  • Durability: Resistant to moisture, ageing, and temperature variation for long-term service.
  • Load suitability: Appropriate for oversized heavy-duty frame fixing applications.

Applications

  • Window and door frames: Fixing oversized or reinforced frame sections into deep masonry.
  • Timber battens: Suitable for large battens or multi-layer cladding supports.
  • Structural supports: Anchoring large frame assemblies or industrial subframes.
  • Service installations: Fixing long-span mounting channels or heavy conduit systems.

Installation Guidance

  • Drill hole preparation: Drill a 10mm diameter hole to the full depth of the fixing.
  • Clean borehole: Remove dust and debris to ensure full sleeve expansion.
  • Insert assembly: Push the pre-assembled fixing through the frame and into the drilled hole.
  • Drive screw: Tighten until the plug expands completely and the head seats flush.
  • Avoid over-tightening: Excess torque can reduce expansion efficiency and compromise grip.

Compliance & Performance

  • Material specification: Nylon PA6 plug with zinc-plated carbon steel screw.
  • Corrosion resistance: Conforms to EN ISO 9227 for indoor and sheltered outdoor use.
  • Thermal stability: Maintains performance between -20°C and +80°C.
  • Important note: Ensure substrate integrity and correct drill diameter before installation.

How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
