How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.

Product Overview
92mm Metal I Stud for internal partition systems, used with 92mm I Track to build acoustic- and fire-rated partitions as part of tested systems.
With wider flanges and integrated service slots, it provides extra rigidity and simplified routing of services, setting it apart from standard C Studs.
Installed as vertical studs in non-loadbearing partitions, the stud offers a consistent fixing edge for plasterboard linings, suitable for offices, classrooms, and other non-loadbearing internal wall applications.
The 92mm cavity provides depth for thicker insulation and larger service routes, which can support enhanced acoustic and fire performance when used as part of a tested system. Its geometry improves resistance to twisting during handling and installation, supporting precise alignment throughout the wall height.
Designed for use with 92mm head and base tracks and compatible with standard deflection head details, the stud accommodates single-or multi-layer board linings as required by the chosen and tested wall system.
Manufactured from galvanised steel, it ensures strength, durability, and corrosion resistance for reliable long-term performance in typical interior environments.
Supplied in a 4200mm length for use in tall wall constructions where extended stud length is required.
Features & Benefits
- Rigidity under load: I-profile delivers higher in-plane rigidity than 92mm C studs, helping achieve flatter finishes and reduced deflection when boards are installed.
- Increased cavity depth: 92mm cavity accommodates thicker insulation and larger services than 50mm and 70mm systems.
- Accurate finishing: Straight roll-formed edges support true board alignment and smooth jointing.
- System compatibility: Aligns with standard 92mm tracks, head deflection details, and common board fixing patterns.
- Durable material: Galvanised steel resists corrosion for a consistent service life in dry internal applications.
- 4200mm length: Helps maintain alignment and rigidity across extended wall heights.
Applications
- General internal partitions: Provides reliable framing for non-loadbearing walls in offices, classrooms, and similar spaces.
- System-tested corridor partitions: Can be used in corridor walls when specified as part of a tested and certified wall system.
- Services integration: Offers cavity depth for thick insulation and large service routes.
- Acoustic improvements: Supports sound reduction when combined with insulation and appropriate board layers in accordance with system test data.
Installation Guidance
- Set-out: Fix compatible 92mm head and base tracks to the substrate per system guidance.
- Stud placement: Insert studs into tracks at the spacings specified by the lining system and project design.
- Openings: Reinforce doorways and penetrations with appropriate studs and trimmers as detailed by the system.
- Board fixing: Attach plasterboard to stud faces using approved drywall screws and patterns.
- Services & insulation: Install services and insulation within the cavity without overcutting or distorting studs.
Compliance & Performance
- Material specification: Manufactured from galvanised steel suitable for interior drywall applications.
- System role: Non-loadbearing vertical framing for plasterboard partitions; performance determined by the tested system build-up.
- Acoustic & fire ratings: Dependent on board type, layers, stud spacing, and insulation; follow the relevant system data.
- Important note: Edges may be sharp - use gloves and eye protection; do not use as a structural loadbearing member.
