Product Overview
Bendy Flexible Plywood Cross Grain with an 8mm thickness and 2440mm x 1220mm (8' x 4') sheet size. This lightweight, multi-ply panel is designed for forming curved structures, contours, and bespoke joinery features.
The cross grain configuration allows the sheet to flex across its width while retaining stability along its length, making it ideal for tight-radius applications. The veneer layers are bonded with high-quality adhesive to provide a smooth, even surface ready for laminating, veneering, or direct finishing.
Manufactured from fine-grained hardwood species, the board delivers consistent flexibility without surface cracking or delamination when shaped.
The 8mm thickness offers increased strength and rigidity while retaining workable flexibility for architectural and furniture applications.
Features & Benefits
- Cross grain orientation: Enables bending across the sheet width for consistent, smooth curves.
- Lightweight construction: Easy to handle and cut for forming curved panels or decorative profiles.
- Smooth surface: Accepts veneer, paint, and laminate finishes without additional preparation.
- Stable core bonding: Resists splitting or fracture during bending and fixing.
- Versatile use: Suitable for cabinetry, displays, furniture, and architectural features.
- Sheet size and thickness: 2440mm x 1220mm sheet with 8mm thickness suited to medium to wide-radius shaping.
Applications
- Curved joinery: Forms smooth, continuous shapes in furniture and fittings.
- Architectural features: Used for columns, arches, and rounded wall panels.
- Interior design: Ideal for curved displays, counters, and partitions.
- Vehicle and marine fit-outs: Provides flexible lining solutions for curved interiors.
Installation Guidance
- Cutting: Use a fine-tooth blade or sharp knife to minimise surface tear-out.
- Forming: Bend gradually around a fixed former; apply even pressure to avoid surface stress.
- Fixing: Secure in position using clamps or formers until adhesives cure or supports are fixed.
- Finishing: Sand lightly and apply primer or veneer for surface protection and visual finish.
Compliance & Performance
- Material composition: Constructed from multiple thin hardwood veneers bonded with flexible adhesive.
- Bond quality: Manufactured to meet internal use and dry condition standards.
- Performance stability: Retains integrity through repeated bending cycles when handled correctly.
- Important note: Avoid excessive moisture or steam exposure before shaping to prevent adhesive weakening.

How delivery works
We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.
Delivery areas
Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.
If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.
What to expect on delivery day
- Deliveries are typically kerbside.
- Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
- Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.
Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery
Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.
Returns
Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
