Product Overview

Reinforced slotted concrete end post, measuring 1830mm (6ft) in length with a 94mm x 109mm section. Manufactured with internal steel reinforcement, the post provides lasting strength and is resistant to rot, decay, fire, and insect attack. Unlike timber, it requires no treatment or maintenance once installed.

Designed for use at fence terminations, the end post provides a secure finishing point in a fence line. A single recessed slot runs the length of one face, allowing panels to slide neatly into position without the need for brackets or screws. The reinforced structure ensures long-term stability, preventing bending or cracking over time.

Suitable for 4ft panels or 3ft panels with a gravel board. Ideal for low boundary fencing and garden divisions.

Features & Benefits

  • Reinforced concrete construction: Provides robust, rot-proof, and weather-resistant support.
  • Single recessed slot: Accepts panels securely at the end of a fence line.
  • End post design: Specifically manufactured to terminate fence runs and provide a clean finish.
  • Internal steel reinforcement: Prevents cracking, bending, or structural failure over time.
  • Low-maintenance material: Requires no painting, staining, or preservative treatment.
  • Nominal section size (94mm x 109mm): Compact yet strong profile, suitable for standard fencing.
  • Post length 1830mm (6ft): Suitable for 4ft panels or 3ft panels with a gravel board.

Please Note: In certain areas of Scotland and Northern England, a minimum order quantity may apply to specific concrete products.

Applications

  • Fence panel support: Suitable for panels up to 1.2m (4ft) high.
  • Domestic garden fencing: Provides strong, stable boundary fencing.
  • Panel compatibility: Works with timber or composite panels, lap, closeboard, or decorative designs.
  • Panel and gravel board use: Suits 4ft panels or 3ft panels with a gravel board.
  • End use: Purpose-designed for terminating straight fence runs and abutting boundary walls.

Installation Guidance

  • Ground embedment: Set approx. 450-500mm into the ground for stable support.
  • Fixing method: Fence panels slot directly into the recessed face; secure the post itself in concrete or post mix.
  • Handling precautions: Due to the weight of concrete posts, installation is best carried out by two people. Wear protective gloves and steel-toe boots.

Compliance & Performance

  • Reinforcement standard: Manufactured with internal high-tensile steel for structural integrity.
  • Service class: Suitable for external domestic fencing; provides long-term resistance to rot, fire, and moisture.

How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
