What Are Coarse Thread Collated 65mm Black Drywall Screws?

Coarse Thread Collated 65mm Black Drywall Screws are carbon steel fixings designed to fasten plasterboard to timber frameworks.

Featuring a Phillips drive type, a bugle head and a durable coarse thread, these 65mm black drywall screws ensure a long-lasting connection between drywall and timber elements. The bugle head design compresses both the gypsum and paper lining as the screws are driven in, forming a secure and reliable countersunk hole.

Similarly, the coarse thread features widely spaced grooves which grip the gypsum when inserted, preventing the risk of stripping, which is when the threads of the screw or the material become damaged, causing the screw to lose grip and making it difficult to drive or remove.

Available in boxes of 500, our 65mm Black Drywall Screws are suited primarily for indoor applications.

Coarse Thread Collated 65mm Black Drywall Screw Benefits

  • Reduced Stripping Risk: The widely spaced threads reduce the likelihood of stripping ensuring a reliable and durable installation.
  • Faster Installation: The larger thread pitch requires fewer rotations to drive the screw fully into the material, speeding up the installation process, especially when using a power tool.
  • Ideal for Wood Framing: Coarse threads are particularly effective in attaching drywall to wooden studs or joists, where they provide better penetration and grip.
  • Collated for Efficient Use: The collated design allows these screws to be used with automatic screw guns, significantly increasing productivity in large-scale projects.
