Product Overview

35mm Black Drywall Screws Collated Coarse Thread for fixing plasterboard to timber studs or joists using auto-feed screwdrivers. Each screw is manufactured from hardened carbon steel with a black phosphate coating that provides light corrosion resistance and a clean, low-glare finish.

The bugle head ensures a smooth, flush seating without tearing the board’s paper surface, achieving a professional, ready-to-fill finish.

A sharp W-type gimlet point allows easy penetration and rapid engagement into timber, reducing driving effort. The coarse thread is optimised for wood substrates, delivering strong bite and resistance to pull-out in natural grain.

35mm screws provide a reliable fixing length for standard and slightly thicker plasterboard installations. Supplied collated on strips for rapid, continuous fixing in high-volume installation work.

Features & Benefits

  • Material: Hardened carbon steel for strength and consistent driving torque.
  • Corrosion resistance: Black phosphate coating resists rust and oxidation under dry interior conditions.
  • Head design: Bugle head compresses gypsum and paper for a flush surface finish.
  • Thread type: Coarse W-type thread offers fast drive and secure grip in timber.
  • Point type: Sharp gimlet point ensures quick starting and reduced splitting.
  • Nominal size: 35mm length.
  • Collated format: Supplied collated for use with auto-feed screwdrivers, enabling faster, more efficient installation.
  • Box quantity: Supplied in a box of 1000 for efficient coverage of high-volume projects.

Applications

  • Plasterboard to timber studs: Reliable fixing for standard and slightly thicker boards.
  • Partitions and ceilings: Provides secure hold across timber frameworks.
  • General wall lining: Suitable for most internal boarding and ceiling systems.
  • Auto-feed systems: Designed for collated screwdrivers in continuous drywall installation.

Installation Guidance

  • Drive type: Use a Phillips No.2 bit compatible with collated auto-feed systems.
  • Speed setting: Drive at medium speed to avoid over-countersinking.
  • Depth control: Seat screw head just below the paper surface without rupturing.
  • Spacing: Maintain 250mm centres on walls and 150mm on ceilings.

Compliance & Performance

  • Manufacturing reference: Produced in accordance with EN 14566 for drywall screws.
  • Finish: Black phosphate coating provides corrosion protection for interior use.
  • Compatibility: Suitable for use with most standard collated screw gun systems.
  • Safety: Always wear eye protection and ensure stable support when driving.
  • Important note: Not suitable for exterior or high-moisture environments.

How delivery works

We work with a nationwide network of trusted suppliers. Items in your basket may be supplied by different suppliers and delivered separately. Where this applies, you will see delivery charges shown at checkout for each part of your order. We always aim to group products from the same supplier to keep delivery costs as low as possible.

Delivery areas

Delivery charges apply to mainland UK, excluding: AB, CA, CF, DD, DG, EH, EX, FK, KA, KW, KY, IV, LA, LD, LL, ML, NP, PA, PH, PL, SA, SY, TR, TQ and TD.

If your address is in one of these areas, we will contact you before processing your order to confirm any additional costs. We do not currently offer delivery outside the UK mainland.

What to expect on delivery day

  • Deliveries are typically kerbside.
  • Please ensure someone is on-site to accept delivery. For heavier items, help with offloading may be required.
  • Many building materials arrive on large vehicles. If access is restricted, a specialist vehicle such as a HIAB may be required and could incur an additional charge.

Why delivery can cost more than typical parcel delivery

Building materials often travel on larger vehicles and usually carry fewer drops per run than parcel networks. That is why delivery charges can be higher than standard e-commerce shipping.

Returns

Returns depend on what you have bought and whether there is anything wrong with it. For full details on eligibility, timeframes, and exclusions, please see our full policy.
